We Got Scenic Views and Bargain Blues at Nakheel Mall in Dubai
Me and my sister are almost nothing alike. She likes social events, karaoke nights, and group vacations, while I like reading at the library, drinking at a cafe, and painting new home decor. Because of that, agreeing on one activity is almost impossible.
But my mom’s always been on a mission to get us to bond. Since we were kids, she’s been creative in making us have fun together. Like, if my sister’s going to a concert at night, we’ll intentionally hit up an art gallery during the day and grab a meal in between.
Lately, though, it was my turn to pick, and Nakheel Mall has made it easy. It’s got something for both of us—stunning Palm Jumeirah views for me to unwind and a shopping haven for my sister to go wild. Here’s our guide for all the fun stuff we did!
What is Nakheel Mall known for?
Nakheel Mall is known for offering extravagant shopping experiences, as well as various dining spots, kid-friendly and leisure attractions, and the picturesque rooftop scenery of Palm Jumeirah in Dubai.
Best Time to Go
The best time to go to Nakheel Mall is during weekdays or Saturday mornings for a peaceful shopping spree. We believe you can also avoid the rush hour by visiting between 10 am to 11 am and 3 pm to 4 pm.
Things to Know
Entry Fees: It doesn’t cost anything to enter Nakheel Mall in Dubai.
Operating Hours: The mall is open every day, from 10 am to 10 pm from Mondays to Thursdays and 10 am to 12 am from Fridays to Sundays. Still, some retail and food and drink stores may extend or decrease their hours, depending on the occasion.
Parking: Parking is free at Nakheel Mall. It provides a 3-tiered car parking facility, with spaces for up to 4,000 vehicles.
Washroom: You can access restrooms on every floor of the mall. However, there may be a lack of baby-changing facilities.
Dogs: For safety reasons, dogs aren’t permitted at the mall, so it’s good to plan ahead.
How to Get Around
Trains: Take the Red Line south to Expo Metro Station and get off at Al Khail Metro Station. Then, you can take a taxi or walk (around 20 minutes) to Palm Gateway. Just hop on the NB Monorail and it will take you directly to the mall.
Buses: There isn’t an RTA bus route serving this mall, so just hop on the Palm Monorail and get off at the shopping centre stop. Alternatively, you can take advantage of the mall’s free shuttle service that circles Palm Jumeirah daily.
Taxis: Taxis are available almost anywhere in Dubai and at the mall entrance, which we think makes it among the most convenient transport options.
Car: Take Sheikh Zayed Rd/E11 following signs to Palm Jumeirah (or Nakhlat Jumeirah in Arabic). Get on Palm Jumeirah Rd and watch out for signs to Nakheel Mall which lies towards the end of the palm’s trunk.

The waiting time ranges from 10 to 30 minutes, though. We suggest booking in advance and arriving earlier to avoid any hassle.

Craving Japanese food? Daikan Ramen specializes in some tasty noodles and karaage (bite-sized) chicken that can warm you up! We reckon you should start with a bit of a kick—why not go for the spicy miso ramen and kimchi?
But if you want a surprise, we recommend the chef’s special ramen instead! There aren’t many desserts, but there are hibiscus and ginger teas—much healthier.

Sometimes, you just want somewhere casual and easy. Ugly Burger is a restaurant that goes straight to the point—mostly hamburgers and finger foods. It’s also got hip and spacious interiors, which we think is great for hangouts.
We say get your hands on its Gangnam combos (cheeseburger and nuggets) first. The crispy fries are also available in different flavors, but we like the classic house fries the most. And to counter the savory flavors, don’t skip its big ice cream selection either.
Just note that this spot might be a bit noisy because it’s right next to the kids’ entertainment center next door.

Feeling fancy? L’ETO is a fancy spot with a rich selection of salads, pasta, and mains for a decent meal ambiance.
Our top picks are the dynamite shrimp sliders, black truffle pasta, and katsu (cutlet) chicken rice bowl. To sweeten the deal, we suggest going for the saffron milk cake too!
Of course, we believe the coffee options are worth a try as well. The highlights for us are the saffron Spanish ice latte and foamed coconut brew because their unique flavors seem refreshing.

Tips When Visiting Nakheel Mall
Now you know what most locals do when visiting Nakheel Mall, why not give yourself an edge with these handy tips:
Book your dining spot in advance.
There are plenty of popular restaurants at Nakheel Mall and walk-ins might have a tough time getting in during peak hours.
Bring your own shopping bag.
Being eco-friendly with a shopping bag isn’t just for the planet, it’s also for you! Put purchased items in one place to keep them organized and safe.
Prepare multiple payment options.
While most shops accept cards and digital payments, we think it doesn’t hurt to carry some dirhams to avoid any hassle later.
Visit the rooftop.
Before you leave the mall, don’t forget to check out the stunning views on the rooftop. We say wait for the lovely sunset too—perfect to see with a special someone, we say.
