The Best Tennis Courts in Dubai
Before we get right into our top picks for the best tennis courts in Dubai, here are the factors we considered for our entries on this list:
1. Clark Francis Tennis Academy

Criteria | Rating |
Skill Level | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
Amenities | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
Programs | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
Location | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
Established in 1997, Clark Francis Tennis Academy has made itself to be synonymous to tennis in Dubai ever since.
This tennis academy has more than 20 years of experience, so it’s no surprise to us that the entire journey of a tennis player’s development is covered here.
Besides that, with 20 tennis courts found throughout the whole city, not only are its courts highly accessible, but it also has every type of court in its domain.
From grass courts for prestigious matches and advanced plays to clay courts to help new tennis players with the fundamentals, this tennis academy covers all skill levels.
On top of that, it has a venue and coach finder online, which makes booking tennis lessons and courts that much easier.
And with numerous courts, we have the choice to either play indoors or outdoors.
However, because of the number of venues it maintains, it’s no surprise that these don’t have much besides the common amenities like a water station and tennis equipment.
Where the company shines, though, is in its programs. From summer camps and beginner training to being able to play with pros, Clark Francis Academy fully utilizes its connections and experience to fulfilling every player’s tennis goals.
Pros
- Multiple tennis courses throughout the city
- Programs cover the whole player’s journey
- Varied court types are available for renting
Cons
- Tennis courts don’t have many amenities besides the basics

It took me a long time to find an amazing tennis coach that will help strengthen my skills and take me to the next level and I finally found all of that in Coach Nancy Karaky. She is beyond amazing, her teaching technique is quite remarkable. I am always excited to see what the next session is going to hold with her. She is absolutely the best. I highly recommend her as a tennis coach, she is the reason I fell in love with tennis all over again.” —Katie Tillson, Google Reviews

2. Al Habtoor Tennis Academy

Criteria | Rating |
Skill Level | ★★★☆☆ (3/5) |
Amenities | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
Programs | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
Location | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
The Al Habtoor Tennis Academy has state-of-the-art courts that are well-known throughout the tennis community in Dubai.
The 4 tennis hard courts it has are perfect for beginner players as the flooring slows down player and ball movement, making it easier to make the ball bounce.
However, without a grass court, players’ development becomes stagnant after some time, as grass courts teach players how to play competitively.
Where it doesn’t fall short, though, is in its amenities. The academy includes a high-tech air-conditioned tennis pavilion.
And within its complex are changing rooms, a fully-equipped gymnasium, and a café with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the gardens at Habtoor Palace.
We love how this tennis academy does not shy away from giving players the comfort and convenience needed to let them focus on their games.
When it comes to its programs, we do like that it covers a lot of player development needs like training camps.
But what really stands out to us is its Junior High-Performance program that’s formulated to let talents participate, be identified, and help them get ready for local and international circuits.
As for its location, the academy has 3 locations within the city. And while it may not be as many as the others, we do appreciate how strategically spaced they are from each other.
Each venue is accessible to different areas of the city, which means that players will have a much easier, albeit slower, time getting there for practice.
Pros
- State-of-the-art tennis courts
- Excellent amenities for a comfortable playing experience
- Programs cover talent development
- Has 3 locations in the city
Cons
- Doesn’t have grass courts
- Lack of grass courts stagnates player’s progress

Great indoor facilities
“Great facilities indoors. I have a very professional coach who has taught me in a matter of a few weeks how to play tennis from zero experience to being able to play a fair game. Thank you Stephen👍😉 🎾” —Nathalie Garino, Google Reviews
The tennis coaches here are the best
“The thing that attracts you to practice tennis is the coach, which is why we chose to register our children in it, as it is in the city center, and has an indoor playground and outdoor playgrounds, all the best for you and thank the coaches, especially my son’s coach Omaro 👍 who is credited with the determination of our children to continue their training” —Raymond Nakhl, Google Reviews
3. Emirates Tennis Academy

Criteria | Rating |
Skill Level | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
Amenities | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
Programs | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
Location | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
Established by Jean-Francois Danican and his extensive playing success and world-class coaching pedigree, Emirates Tennis Academy has numerous tennis courts all over Dubai alongside some great training programs.
We love how most of these courts are either integrated into public spaces or inside schools, making them accessible for everyone of all ages.
And with 8 tennis courts all over the city, finding one that’s centrally located and easy to access is never difficult with Emirates Tennis Academy.
However, when we did get a session, we were disappointed as to how some parts of our tennis court were poorly maintained.
Not that it was dirty, but rather some parts of the hard court’s flooring were bumpy and could easily cause an injury to the players.
Besides that, we’re also disappointed that with 8 of the tennis courts it has, none of them were grass courts. It’s disappointing because advanced players will have to find a grass court to practice in to prepare for tournaments.
However, where it shines is in its programs. Combining the internationally recognized French Progressive Tennis System with the Harry Hopman method, it innovates and builds upon two teaching methods that have proven to be effective.
As a result, its alumni, Alexei Popyrin, was ranked as the #2 Junior in the world in 2017, while its student Amrivala Madanchi has been ranked the #1 men’s player in Dubai for the last 11 years.
Pros
- Has numerous courts in schools and public spaces
- Innovative programs have produced top tennis players in Dubai
- Founded by elite tennis player and coach, Jean-Francois Danican
Cons
- Tennis courts are not maintained well
- Only has hard courts
4. Dubai Tennis Academy

Criteria | Rating |
Skill Level | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
Amenities | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
Programs | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
Location | ★★★☆☆ (3/5) |
Dubai Tennis Academy is the first world-class tennis academy in Dubai with a variety of programs to offer that can be personalized to suit individual requirements.
We love the fact that its low coach-to-student ratio allows players of all ages at any skill level to develop further than where they started.
So despite the lack of grass courts, the focus and attention that players get during sessions can really push them to be better.
We also love that its amenities may not be luxurious, but they are complete. From basic equipment to some of the academy’s established tennis coaches, Dubai Tennis Academy really set us up to be prepared for our lesson.
When it comes to its programs, we love how diverse these are. We can pick programs based on duration, skill level, and kind of class setup.
It really gives a sense of customization according to what we were comfortable with while we learn and have fun with tennis.
As for its location, it’s sad that it only has one location and it’s inside a resort, too. Not only is it hard for people to reach the place, but they also have to share space with people in the resort.
Pros
- Has a variety of programs that can accommodate players’ needs
- Low coach-to-student ratio
- Necessary amenities are complete
Cons
- Only has hard courts
- Only has 1 location

Location | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
To start a grassroots tennis to performance levels and create a tennis pathway through well-structured and progressive programs, Tennis 360 was created.
What we love about its tennis courts is the variety. From hard courts that are perfect for beginners to grass courts and even beach courts for some challenging fun, Tennis 360 provides a premium tennis experience for every skill level.
And it doesn’t end there. Its amenities are amazing, too.
We love the exclusive players’ lounge and classrooms that are great for post-game hangouts, and its covered free car park that really comes in handy when morning sessions end late.
On top of that, the amenities differ depending on the branch that you go to, so it’s always a surprise every time you try out a new branch.
However, when it comes to programs, the choices are kind of basic. The facility only offers classes based on age groups and the degree of privacy that players want.
There are no specializations of special camps and training sessions for those looking for a more serious tennis experience.
As for its locations, we love how each covers a district or two of the city. Easily accessible for anyone especially in a residential neighborhood, Tennis 360 is optimized for everyday practice.
