We Got a Taste of the High Life at These 5 Burj Al Arab Bars

I don’t know why, but food always tastes better when I’m not paying. I’ve never been one to be overly thrifty or stingy, but whenever someone offers me free food or drinks, how could I refuse?

Growing up, my friends would treat me sometimes, but it was never anything fancy—just burger joints, local cafes, or fun arcade spots. Then one day, I made friends with this rich guy at work, and he just loved treating everyone. Like, thrived in it.

And then I heard it. He was planning to take the team to multiple bars at the Burj Al Arab that week—I was way too excited! Honestly, this was the best luck I’d had since finding a random coin on the street. These are the best bars we’ve hit up.

Which bars can I find in Burj Al Arab?

There are a couple of bars you can find in Burj Al Arab! Notable ones are Gilt, Skyview Bar, and Al Muntaha for a vibrant night out with great drinks and company.

It features an extensive menu of classic and modern cocktails, making it popular for guests looking to unwind in style. Our top picks are the Beurre Noisette (gin brown butter) and the fresh and sour Oseille (vodka). We like the champagne options too!

Sitting 200 meters above the sea, the iconic Skyview Bar offers stunning 360-degree views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai’s skyline. Guests can enjoy a range of cocktails and drinks in a luxurious setting, perfect for sunset views.

The best drinks for us are cocktails like the dry and vinous Bamboo, crisp and citrusy French 75, and the bittersweet and aromatic Martinez.

We love the gin and tonic collection, spirits, and beer too! It’s also handy for us that there are a few non-alcoholic soft beverages, such as malt and sparkling craft beverages—something for everyone.

Al Muntaha

While it’s primarily a fine dining restaurant, Al Muntaha offers a bar experience with an extensive wine list and signature cocktails we believe are worth considering.

Guests can enjoy Michelin-starred French and Italian cuisine by Chef Saverio Sbaragali while taking in the spectacular views of the coastline. As for the mains, we recommend the black truffle risotto, sea bass, and Angus beef.

Not only that, but we also appreciate that there’s live music, particularly a 3-piece jazz band to make the vibe livelier.

Guests can enjoy light bites and drinks like Golden Espresso Martini in an elegant setting, complete with live classical music—the lounge boasts some of the most evocative harpists in town!

We also think non-alcoholic drinkers would enjoy zero-alcohol mocktails, such as Les Fleurs (flowery gin flavor), Sainte Paloma (fruity rum flavor), and Malamour (citrusy whiskey flavor).

SAL is a sleek beach club in Burj Al Arab floating over the glittering Gulf. It offers several menus, including à la carte, pool, shisha (flavored tobacco), and sunset lounge.

While the sunset menu offers many specials like Garden Paloma (tequila), Last Minute (bourbon), and Mikho Hugo (gin), the pool menu has the most number of drinks to indulge in—so, we think this one’s definitely the most worth exploring.

Moreover, some signature cocktails we reckon you should try poolside are the Clear Colada (rum), Albàhaca Sour (gin), and Bloody Mary (vodka).
