4 Burj Al Arab Afternoon Tea Spots That Had Us on a Sugar High
Whenever I hit a buffet, my strategy is simple—I grab a little bit of everything. I never go for dishes I can already eat at home. Even if it means asking the staff to slice things up so everything fits perfectly on my plate—as long as I get to try it all, I’m happy.
So when I first heard about an all-you-can-eat setup for pastries and desserts years ago, I was beyond excited! My friends and I have probably checked out almost every high tea spot in the city—the sugar rush is real!
But what really makes Burj Al Arab stand out for us is how many great spots are packed close together. We get to try more without running all over the place! Here are the best places my foodie friends and I have tried so far!
Where can I get afternoon tea in Burj Al Arab?
There are several spots where you can get afternoon tea in Burj Al Arab! Swing by delightful high tea spots, such as Sahn Eddar, Skyview Bar, and Al Muntaha.

Craving fancy afternoon tea in Burj Al Arab? Located in the world’s largest atrium, Sahn Eddar is a smart hotel spot that offers a luxurious experience for breakfast and high tea. We love that it’s got a kids’ menu as well!
Guests can enjoy a decent selection of finger sandwiches, pastries, and desserts. Moreover, we like that this is complemented by live classical music from an Arabic band harpist and string quartet!
As for the food, you’ll get cold cuts, English scones, and a high tray of mini cakes and pastries. We adore the lemon yuzu (Japanese citrus) cake and mango cheesecake, which seem to pair well with the 24-carat gold cappuccino.
Pro tips:
We suggest mentioning all food restrictions and preferences from the get-go. This way, the Sahn Eddar staff can easily accommodate you without any hassle later.
You’ll be tasting plenty of cakes, so we recommend coming here on an empty stomach!

Although primarily a glamorous cocktail bar, Skyview Bar is a sail-shaped hotel that offers a unique afternoon tea experience. It also has glass walls to let you marvel at stunning panoramic views of Dubai.
We particularly liked the savory items, like finger sandwiches and soft buns. But for us, the berry tart is a delightful surprise as well!
And if you don’t drink alcohol, we still believe you’re in for a treat—there are various mocktails here as fun and tasty alternatives. On top of that, the Strawberry Fields flavored black tea is our best pick for tea enthusiasts.
Friendly reminders:
Skyview Bar requires reservations at least a week in advance, especially during peak seasons—be sure to plan accordingly!
There’s a smart elegant dress code to follow. But if you’re ever wearing shorts, we appreciate that this spot can let you borrow trousers, free of charge!

Known for its exquisite views and elegant setting, Al Muntaha is a French dining spot serving refined afternoon tea. This includes minimalist gourmet pastries and a decent selection of fine teas.
Our favorites are the salmon tartare (raw), Australian Wagyu beef, and slow-cooked octopus. We also bet you’ll like the ice cream options and strawberry meringue (sugar and egg white mix), as well as the cheese trolley!
Plus, we’re in awe that the restaurant provides a sophisticated atmosphere with views of the Arabian Gulf and the Dubai skyline.
Nifty trick:
There’s no need to pay for parking if you’re dining at Al Muntaha. Just make sure to have your ticket validated by the staff!

Al Mandhar Lobby Lounge offers sweet and savory treats and afternoon tea in a stylish setting. We like that it offers a multi-cuisine menu so you can satisfy multiple cravings at once.
Savories like smoked salmon, Wagyu beef cut, and black truffle egg mimosa made quite an impression on us. Still, we have a soft spot for chocolate cake, muffins, and cookies. In our opinion, these snacks pair best with Moroccan tea!
Work idea:
Try to sit away from the revolving door at Al Mandhar Lobby Lounge! Lots of people are coming in and out, and we feel it might interfere with the vibe.
