The Dubai Tennis Academy was established by Strath Sherriff to teach people about the sport. They offer world-class coaching methods in a good environment and atmosphere.
The Academy offers private lessons with actual professionals, as well as dedicated clinics for women and for younger players. There are even batch lessons for people looking to go as a group.
The facilities are very good, with adequate space given for members. People in private lessons do not get disturbed as easily with the other members taking lessons elsewhere.
We think the student-to-coach ratio is also quite good. It allows coaches to really hone in on their students, allowing them to really focus on their specific pain points and skills that need improving.
In our opinion, the coaches are quite good, and professional. They are able to communicate the lessons in a way that the members have fun doing them.
We think prices are quite reasonable, especially if you have signed up for a membership. However, we did hear some customers finding the prices for lessons in the afternoon to be a bit expensive, when compared to other times.
And while all of their coaches are quite competent, some of them do operate on their own schedule. We think this might be a little hard to follow for busier members.
Still, the Dubai Tennis Academy is a good club to start with when it comes to learning the basics here in Dubai.

Founded back in 1997, CF Tennis Academy has established itself as one of the top tennis academies in the region. They have even expanded in different cities like Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Fujairah.
CF Tennis Academy offers a lot of services with regards to the sport, such as private lessons, junior clubs, group lessons, club nights, and even cardio tennis.
We think it is definitely a great club to really learn the basics of the sport. It is also a good way to unwind after work or after school if allowed.
The Academy is also able to maintain a good student-to-coach ratio even if they start working with bigger groups. In our opinion, the coaches all have a way of adjusting the pace of the lessons to suit the size of the group.
The facilities are also well-maintained and the courts are quite spacious. We think this gives them a lot of room to add the different lessons such as cardio tennis.
Of course, this does mean that some of the lessons come at a premium. While we think most of the public and group lessons are affordable, their private lessons can be quite pricier than other places.

They have a rather comprehensive curriculum they’ve designed to help new players get started. In our opinion, this is a very good program to get into for beginners as they’ll gradually move up the more difficult techniques at their own pace.
They also have a good coach-to-student ratio, which we think helps with better lesson retention. For group classes, most that we saw were four students to one coach.
We think this kind of setup is much helpful for learners who may need a more focused approach in order to learn.
The facilities are also quite good and clean, with enough space for students to focus on their own games. Of course, renting some of these courts are a bit more expensive than other places, which is something to keep in mind.
Aside from tennis lessons, you might also be able to catch some of their multi-sports camps. Camps allow people to experience other sports as well like dodgeball and boxing.
We think it’s much better to email the Academy or visit them in person for registration however. Customers report some delay when it comes to doing things over the phone.

Athletic Kings Tennis Club is one of the more well-known, exclusive clubs in Dubai. Established back in 1999, they have steadily improved their reputation and facilities over the years.
The facilities and courts are quite pleasant to play in. As it is inside a gated community, it is set apart from the noise and energy outside, which allows players to focus on their games.
They also take pride in having shaded courts, letting visitors play throughout the year. We think people who wish to avoid the summer heat while playing will like this place.
Their tennis programs are structured in a way that helps multiple age groups and skill levels. They also have a good balance of coaches, both male and female, which we found to be quite good at adjusting to varying skill levels.
Support staff and coaches were very friendly and professional, and reception was quite pleasant. They help when they are needed but they do know when to give players their privacy.
This does mean that players are expected to keep track of their own time. Otherwise, you might suddenly find yourself in overtime, causing you to pay more.
In our opinion, their booking process is quite good and responsive on all channels. Other customers have also cited the fast booking process as a big positive.

Tennis 360 was launched back in 2010, starting a grassroots tennis program to get more people up to performance levels in Dubai. They offer a well-structured learning program for both kids and adults.
Prior to starting play, clients can undergo a skill assessment program. We think this is good for establishing skill levels, allowing the coach to modify their teaching approach.
Their facilities are very clean and quite pleasant. Some of these courts can even be used to play throughout the entire year, as they offer both indoor and outdoor facilities.
Tennis 360 can even help with racquet stringing services, which we think are helpful for beginners who haven’t quite mastered how to maintain their equipment just yet.
Aside from signing up to the programs the club offers, customers can also rent their courts on an hourly basis, starting at 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
In this case, we do suggest making the booking in advance. Slots do fill up fast when it comes to their hourly court rentals.
Staff are very professional and friendly and they are very responsive to inquiries. We do think that their schedules can be quite rigid though so clients who sign up for a session will really need to commit in order to make the most of it.
