When it comes to vegetarian dishes in the Marina, it’s best to start with some of the most flavourful ones. Saaranga Bhojan Shala is one such place, whipping out amazing authentic Indian recipes focused on vegetarian dishes.
It’s a rather modest place upon first arrival but they do have some amazing vegetarian dishes available.
The restaurant itself can be easily reached even on foot, the interior well-kept and neat. Customers can also call ahead for parking access, so even those coming by car can be accommodated.
Particular standouts include the various dosas, all served with an amazing chutney. They’re at a good portion size to start with while also providing enough variety to satisfy larger groups with their own preferences.
Check out their fried rice and szechuan noodles as well; all part of their additional Indo-Chinese cuisine menu. We’d also like to point out that this comes in very big servings, making it great for people who’re really, really hungry.
There’s some waiting time in-between courses though so you do have some time to digest. Still, the slightly long prep time can be a little more noticeable when ordering the smaller orders.
In case you don’t have the time to sit down though, you can also get delivery to your location. However, there are some who report waiting around an hour before they were able to get their order.
Pros
- Very reasonable prices for the food
- Nice, relaxed atmosphere
Cons
- Delivery takes a long while
- Some waiting time in-between courses

RESTAURANT | ★★★★☆ (4.5/5) |
FOOD | ★★★★☆ (4.5/5) |
AMBIANCE | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
CUSTOMER SERVICE | ★★★★☆ (4.5/5) |

Serving up good, organic, and gluten-free food to visitors within the Marina area, Bounty Beets also presents itself as a dining spot with a little bit of a beauty component.
This beauty-oriented approach is immediately apparent with their dining area. It’s nice and wide, complete with some artful textures and a few plants that really highlight the organic feel of the place.
It gives us the impression of a nice villa of sorts, making it feel more like vacation rather than a simple dining experience.
Food here all comes in light, helping diners avoid the bloated feeling after most heavy lunches. There’s a solid selection of buns, breads and sandwiches, as well as some fruit.
As for mains, it’s actually a lot more balanced between lighter meat-based dishes and vegetarian dishes. In our opinion, this is a great place to go on a date or meeting in the event you’re with someone who’s not a big fan of vegetarian dishes.
It’s a place where you can enjoy a quinoa bowl mixed with some sweet tomatoes and peaches alongside a hot Nashville-style grilled chicke with an airy fried potato.
Staff are very accommodating as well, and you wouldn’t have problems asking about a dish and getting your requests heard and taken care of.
Admittedly, some of the salad portions are a bit small though, which is probably expected for some of their cheaper bowls and soups. Some of the options, mostly the ones on the grill, also take some time to arrive after ordering.
Still, the experience is very comfortable and relaxed overall and the dishes are quite delicious. As such, we recommend dropping in at Bounty Beets for a meal or two, even if you’re with non-vegetarians.
Pros
- Very accommodating staff
- Elegant dining spots
Cons
- Small portions for some dishes
- Some wait times for the order

There’s the penne arrabiata as well made with exotic vegetables and a spicy tomato sauce for some heat. Or you can check out the tandoori cottage cheese or mushroom tikka as alternatives.
Vegetarian options abound the entire menu, making it easy to choose your preferred dishes regardless of what you’re craving. Although of course, some of the prices are quite high since it’s a fancier establishment.
