The journey of getting to Pai Thai can be quite an experience in itself.
Getting to the restaurant can be done in two ways; via a scenic route on the Jumeirah waterway or a faster method via one of the nearby hotel’s buggies.
Once you get inside, you’ll be treated to a nice restaurant ambiance, with sufficient space and comfortable tables. If weather permits, there’s even a nice terrace where you can dine while overlooking the beautiful water.
Now, the food here is very delicious, in our opinion. The starters consist of some delicious small bites such as chicken satay skewers, prawn cakes, and chicken dumplings.
After that, you can proceed to enjoy their wide selection of classic curries, stir-fried meat and noodle dishes. They even have some vegetable-based dishes for vegetarians.
You can adjust the spice level according to your preference as well, ensuring a nice time for everybody in the group, in our opinion.
However, some dishes took a bit longer than others to arrive. Nevertheless, our waiters were able to give a good estimate of how long the dishes would take to arrive.
The overall experience was quite smooth and good value for money considering that it’s quite pricier than many other options.
Pai Thai is definitely a great place to get started with Thai cuisine in Dubai though. We think the amazing views and delicious food make for a very memorable gastronomical stop.

Located at the floating market of Dubai’s Global Village, Krua Thai seeks to deliver some of the most popular and authentic dishes of Thailand here in the UAE.
It definitely strives for a more royal-esque presentation, at least based on the presentation of the food in our opinion.
Service is quite efficient yet friendly, with the staff all greeting us with a smile. Additionally, we found that they also make great recommendations, making them perfect for first-time visitors in our opinion.
While there is an assortment of dishes available, most customers we’ve spoken to highly recommend their curries and we’re inclined to agree.
The curries we got were very nice and flavourful, with just the right textures and portion sizes. This meant we didn’t feel bloated immediately so we could enjoy some of our other orders.
Preparation and food service is a bit inconsistent based on our experience. While most of our starters and smaller bites arrived fast enough, we found a few of the main dishes to be a bit slow compared to other places.
We also found some of the dishes to be a bit pricier than any nearby competition though it fortunately doesn’t encompass the whole menu.

Boasting a decent number of prime locations in Dubai, Little Bangkok tries to position itself as one of the most accessible ways to try Thai cuisine here in Dubai.
They provide a decent selection of food choices though we do want to note that not all of them are strictly Thai-inspired. There’s also a few general Asian and Chinese dishes on offer as well.
Still, their selection of Thai dishes are all able to cover a wide array of preferences though. There’s good vegetable selections such as lotus crisps cooked with a flavourful seasoning and a nice texture.
On the other side of the coin, meat and seafood lovers will love the different varieties of curries available here in Dubai.
Their battered fried prawns come highly recommended, with many customers attesting to its nice flavour and decent level of spice courtesy of the chili garlic.
Customers do recommend being clear when requesting for adjustment of the heat levels of some dishes though. There were a few times when orders had to be sent back due to being too spicy.
Once you’re done feasting, you can also wash down the spice with a wide variety of smoothies and sodas made from fresh fruits and herbs.
Prices are a bit higher than the other places though, at least when it comes to some of their main courses.
Nevertheless, the location is quite spacious and the service is very fast. Dishes arrive hot, allowing you to dig in within just minutes of ordering.
As such, we recommend diners coming in a big group to give Little Bangkok a try. We think they should have enough variety to satisfy anyone in a group in Dubai.

Cons
- Prices for some menu items are higher than other places

Café Isan presents itself as an unpretentious way to get good food and atmosphere inspired by traditional Thai cuisine here in Dubai.
As such, this reflects a lot in their space design. The place is reminiscent of a canteen or café, with bright lights and comfortable plastic chairs.
Still, we think it gives the place a casual and affordable vibe. We do want to note that it’s a bit hot when visiting during the summer months, though.
There’s also a great view of the surrounding cityscape should you choose to visit the venue at night.
The food here is delicious and we appreciate that it’s served rather fast. Soups and stews are nice and thick with most viands coming in very generous portions.
We think their Pad Thai and papaya salad make for a really delicious meal at the café. In our opinion, most visitors should give this a try.
There are other points of improvement we could see with Café Isan. For one, we have heard clients complain about the lack of contactless payment options.
We think the café could take this into account since recent events have shifted some people into using more and more cashless payment options for most of their purchases.
Overall though, we do appreciate the fast, casual, and affordable vibe Café Isan is going for. We think this definitely makes them a great recommendation for anyone hungry for Thai food here in Dubai.
Pros
- Great tasting main dishes

A beautiful dining venue overlooking the Dubai Creek and the Marina, the Thai Kitchen stands as one of the best places to get authentic Thai cuisine for a romantic night out in Dubai.
The place’s open kitchen layout makes for a delightful, fun, and energetic ambiance, giving it a fresh and authentic feel. Nonetheless, we did like the adequate spacing between tables, giving each diner some level of privacy.
The ambiance is especially good come winter times. A cold breeze blows, making it a lot more preferable to choose outdoor seating though you’ll have to move faster than the other guests who had the same idea.
Food is generally well-done and the experience is as close to authentic as you can possibly get in our opinion.
The steamed fish is served whole and on the bone, granting the dish a lot of its original flavour. The different curries also come out thick, easily coating a generous serving of rice.
We also found the service to be good and efficient. Food is served fresh and fast, with minimal wait times which we think is appreciated by a lot of their diners.
Honestly, the one small downside you might encounter at the Thai Kitchen comes as a result of its popularity. It can be quite crowded and is filled with other diners.
There’s also no lunch service so you might be limited to dinner dates when going out with a significant other.
Nonetheless, the amazing ambiance, great food, and speedy service do make a strong case for the Thai Kitchen. We highly recommend foodies to come check it out when you’re in Dubai.
Pros
- Great, near authentic restaurant ambiance
- Delicious food selections
Cons
- Outdoor seating is quite limited at times
- Dinner service can be quite crowded
