Take it from me: you do not want to play guessing games when it comes to laparoscopy (a minimally invasive keyhole procedure used for diagnosis)!
The right clinic can mean a smoother procedure, a sharper diagnosis, and less drama during recovery, like infections or hernia. That’s why I rounded up the best laparoscopy services in Dubai that are worth your time.
These picks stand out for experienced specialists, solid hospital support, and the kind of care that can help you book with more confidence.
If your diagnosis shows you require surgery, check out our list of general surgeons for excellent treatment options.
How much does a laparoscopy cost in Dubai?
In Dubai, laparoscopy usually costs around AED15,000 to AED40,000, depending on the procedure and how complex the case is.
Your final bill can also shift based on the surgeon’s fees, hospital stay, pre-op tests, anaesthesia, and the clinic package inclusions (follow-up care or medication).
1. HealthHub Clinics by Al Futtaim

Address: Ground Floor, Festival City Mall – Dubai Festival City
Contact: +971 800 2344
Business hours: Daily, 9 AM–10 PM
When my gallbladder pain was getting unbearable, I went to Al-Futtaim Health because it felt more clinically solid than flashy. Straightaway, their multispeciality laparoscopy setup gave me peace of mind, since these cases can spill across more than one discipline.
The depth of their team stood out to me. They have a mix of UK and American board-certified specialists who made the place feel properly staffed rather than overly salesy.
I like how strong they are on the practical side, too. They have over a dozen clinics across Dubai, a premium day surgery centre, and even an in-house lab with results under 8 hours! Honestly, it just makes the entire process feel more streamlined and less stressful.
When I was there, I observed how the specialists seemed to think beyond the actual procedure. The pre-op prep was clear, the post-surgery care felt organised, and having over 20 insurance partners made the financial bit less anxiety-inducing for me.
That said, the scale can make the experience feel a bit corporate, which initially was the case with me. If you prefer a smaller, specialist-only clinic with a more boutique feel, this may come across as more efficient than warm.
Clearly explained my condition and treatment
I had a very positive experience with Dr Ramika. Very professional and caring doctor. Clearly explained my condition and treatment. Would definitely recommend.

2. Dr Rohit Kumar

Address: Port Rashid Road – Al Mankhool
Contact: +971551965678
Business hours: Monday to Saturday, 10 AM–6 PM
My brother booked an appointment with Dr Rohit Kumar when his appendicitis symptoms were getting harder to ignore. He’s a specialist general surgeon and medical director at International Modern Hospital, with over two decades of experience.
His official profile highlights minimal access surgery, gastrointestinal problems, hernia repair, bariatric work, and other laparoscopic procedures across surgical disciplines. He’s quite well-known for abdominal surgery cases, with a multispecialty hospital base.
This mattered a lot to my brother, whose symptoms seemed to overlap and needed scans, a surgical review, and a broader work-up in one place. He told me Dr Rohit also speaks English, Hindi, and Russian, with a training background in Kazakhstan, France, Japan, and Greece (so it felt like he was in good “global” hands).
The best-fit patients for Dr Rohit are those looking for a well-established Dubai general laparoscopic surgeon for gallbladder, hernia, GI, bariatric, or other abdominal issues.
The hospital also accepts major local and international insurance plans, making access a bit less stressful for patients like my brother.
However, because he’s both a surgeon and a medical director, appointments may be a bit more competitive than with a standard consultant, especially for preferred timeslots.
I felt safe and secure during my laparoscopic mesh repair
Came for a consultation with Doctor Rohit Kumar at International Modern Hospital, to discuss my abdominal pain, actually to have a second opinion also. After having conversations with him, I feel secure and safe, so I decided to do my laparoscopic mesh repair for him. Thank you so much, doctor, for taking care of me during this journey. I also thank your nurse and the team for making me feel comfortable. Salute to all of you!

My abdomen is peaceful now
Just want to say thank you for my successful operation called laparoscopic mesh repair of a left direct inguinal hernia. My abdomen is peaceful now, far away from the pain before. Lots of thanks for taking care of me, and to your nurse Noemi as well. You are a great team. I will highly recommend you.

3. International Modern Hospital

Address: Port Rashid Road, Al Mankhool Area
Contact: +97144063000
Business hours: Open 24 hours
When I have a laparoscopy on the table (literally and figuratively), I’d want to be somewhere reassuring that has a proper department for it, as well as feel built for proper surgical work, rather than just hyped-up marketing.
International Modern Hospital stands out to me, with its mix of specialities under one roof. There’s general and laparoscopic surgery, gastroenterology, urology, obstetrics and gynaecology, pediatric surgery, ICU support, and a dedicated endoscopy suite!
I find it well-suited to patients whose cases may need more than one team involved.
I also liked that the hospital pairs surgical expertise with a more human approach. Their 2023 renovation, 5 operating theatres, 117 in-patient beds, 24/7 emergency access, and focus on patient-centred care make an organised journey from diagnosis to recovery.
For a laparoscopy patient, this is a strong pick. I would recommend it to people who want a full-service private hospital with internationally trained doctors, solid diagnostics, insurance compatibility, and enough backup for more complex laparoscopy cases.
The main drawback is that it’s a proper hospital, not an intimate clinic setup. That’s great for complex cases, but if you want a smaller, hand-held, consultant-only experience, this scale may feel institutional.
I truly appreciate the kindness, compassion, and professionalism
I would like to express my sincere appreciation based on my recent admission to the hospital. I would especially like to commend Dr Rohit Kumar for his excellent care during my surgery, as well as Dr Suma, the nurses Anu Mary, JM, Aswathy, and Akhila, and the housekeeping staff Ehrama Sultan and Sabina Maharjan. I truly appreciate the kindness, compassion, and professionalism shown by your staff. Their respectful and supportive approach was very reassuring during a stressful time and clearly reflected their dedication to patient care. Thank you for having such wonderful and compassionate staff. They are a true asset to your hospital.

I would like to express my deepest appreciation to International Modern Hospital for providing the best customer and patient service. From the moment I arrived, I felt well cared for and respected. Special thanks to Dr Firas David for his professionalism and expertise, to Ms Rizza for her kindness and support, and to the nurses across all departments for their dedication and compassion. I also want to acknowledge the security team, who ensured a safe and welcoming environment throughout my visits. The entire team truly works together to make patients feel comfortable and valued. Thank you for your outstanding service and commitment to excellence.

Business hours:

Friday, 8 AM–12.30 PM
Saturday, 11 AM–5 PM
I visited Dr Abdul Kader Weiss at the Dubai Health Care City and came away thinking he’s a serious, technically focused option for laparoscopic care. He’s a specialist general and laparoscopic surgeon with 16 years of experience, which makes him a seasoned choice.
What makes him stand out is the training profile. He holds a diploma in laparoscopic surgery from Montpellier-1 University in France, and is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, giving me the sense that he’s not just about generic consults.
Based on my interview and observation, he seems best suited to patients who need general laparoscopic, upper GI, hernia, reflux, or bariatric-led surgery. I also liked that his care style comes across as measured and calm, with surgical precision.
He currently practices at Dubai Healthcare City’s Clemenceau Medical Centre. This means his patients get the support of a larger hospital setting, along with full laparoscopic credentials and established experience.
However, because he’s also a senior-name surgeon in a major hospital setting, some patients may find appointments and overall logistics a bit more formal and intimidating.
Surgery went well, all smooth and calm
I just had my laparoscopic cholecystectomy surgery under Dr Abdul Kader Weiss. I got discharged today. Surgery went well, all smooth and calm. I asked for surgery, and within two days, I got it. I didn’t have to wait long. He treated it as urgent care. He really cares for his patients. You can trust your life to him. This hospital really took care of me. I made such a great decision choosing Dr Weiss. Staff are 5-star. CMC Hospital is awesome.

This is my first surgery, and everything went exceptionally well
I recently underwent laparoscopic surgery for multiple hernias performed by Dr Abdul Kader Weiss. The doctor was recommended to me by a friend who had gone through the same procedure at Clemenceau. This is my first surgery, and everything went exceptionally well. Dr Weiss is a highly experienced professional, demonstrating remarkable skill and care, supported by a wonderful team of experienced anesthesiologists and nurses who made the experience as comfortable as possible. I am recovering faster than expected. It was an amazing experience. Big thanks and deep gratitude to the entire surgical team.

5. Aster Hospital (Mankhool)

Address: الرفاعة Kuwait Street, Al Raffa – Al Mankhool
Contact: +97144400500
Business hours: Open 24 hours
I visited Aster Hospital, expecting to find a busy private hospital…and that part is true, but the laparoscopy department felt more coordinated than chaotic.
I immediately saw how clearly the surgeons are set up to handle cases across the endocrine system, gastrointestinal tract, breast, colon, and rectum rather than just one narrow lane. That breadth matters if your symptoms aren’t neatly packaged.
Aster’s general and laparoscopic surgery teams work in real time with other specialists. From a patient’s point of view, that reads as a stronger safety net for people who may need cross-speciality input before or after surgery.
I also like how the service is built around modern minimally invasive care, not old-school long-stay surgery. Their procedures include gallbladder removal, appendicectomy, hernia repair, colectomy, and other laparoscopic work.
It feels like the kind of hospital that aims to combine surgical precision with more joined-up care, which is reassuring when recovery is just as important as the operation itself.
That said, if you want a hand-held, more intimate experience, the large multispeciality ambience may feel busier and less personal.
She made me comfortable, which helped me forget my fear before the surgery
THIS IS THE BEST HOSPITAL I HAVE EVER VISITED IN THE UAE !!!! First of all, I would like to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to Dr. Ramya Sai Adusumalli for being so caring, friendly and accomodative doctor for my surgery, she welcomes me with a smile and warm greetings since 1st day of my consultation with her regarding my surgery until post op check-up, she explains so well in a very simple way and she made me comfortable that help me forget my fear before the surgery, she’s so gentle and knowledgable on what she’s doing, also, kudos to the nurses, they were so attentive, accomodating and caring, they always remind me that they’re always there if I need something, they’re so gentle whenever they need to check my vital signs and they always explain whatever meds or IV they’re giving to me, totally I felt like I am VIP because of their top tier service! Again, thank you, Dr Ramya, thank you, Aster Mankhool, for making my 1st surgery a very awesome experience for me. Thank you for not making me feel regret that I chose your hospital for my 1st ever surgery.

She made me feel safe about my laparoscopy surgery
I was honestly overthinking about my left ovarian cyst operation, but thank God I found Dr Sabitha Umapathy Srinivasan, a specialist in Laparoscopic Gynaecology here in Aster Hospital Mankhool. I felt relieved because she made me feel safe about my laparoscopy surgery. She explained to me in detail what I need to know about my case. A huge thanks to Mufaseena in the reception department, as she accommodated me in the most polite way and gave me a discount since I don’t have insurance.
