Established in 2013, House of Paws is well worth the mention because of their wide range of available services and affordable dog training classes.

Aside from their comprehensive dog training classes, they also have a grooming spa, a daycare, boarding, fun events, and transportation services. They’re a one stop shop for your pet’s needs.

What we like about House of Paws’ training program is that they acknowledge the differences of each dog and create tailor-fit behavioral and training solutions that will help your pet learn better.

What will happen first, based on our experience, is a detailed assessment of your dog or puppy. From there, they’ll help you decide on the best training program for your dog.

The fees of the dog training will also be dependent on this assessment. From what we’ve seen, they have three main programs: in-house training, group classes, and behavioral counseling.

For in-house training, they’ll be trained while they’re staying there at the center’s boarding facilities. The expert trainers will be the ones supervising and teaching your dog through a reward and correction system.

The training will be fully catered to your dog’s needs and will include basic obedience commands and any other needed corrections as they see fit. This will cost 145 AED per session.

Next, their group classes are the best option if you want to spend quality time with your dog. These classes cover the following topics:

  • The ABCs of dog trainings
  •  Simple cues
  • Basic manners with the use of hand signals
  •  Verbal cues
  • Loose-leash walking.
  • Dog psychology
  • Creating own obedience solutions

This class will also be 145 AED. What will be a bit pricey though is the behavior assessment which totals to 475 AED.

Lastly, the behavioral counseling will handle jumping, excessive barking, attention seeking, separation anxiety, fears, aggression issues, and potty training.

This will be tailor-fit to your pet’s behavioral issues. Their service is very personalized, which we like.

They’re not as active on social media as we hoped, but they’re easy to contact through their website and on the phone.

  • Affordable
  • Wide range of services available
  • Lots of available trainings for every need

  • Not active on social media
  • Inconsistent operating hours

I love their service and their staff are incredibly friendly and helpful

House of Paws is always so amazing. I love their service and their staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I was so scared to bring my dog at first because he barks and freaks out when other dogs are near us. He keeps improving every time I bring him to House Of Paws. I love this place so much and I highly recommend it for anyone that has a pet. -Sabine Haddad

I highly recommend this place

I sought out a house of paws after a bad experience with another Dog school. Cici was kind enough to offer me a 1 day free training for my dog. To my surprise, my dog came back differently. Before going to house of paws my dog used to bark at everything ( people, animals, etc.) , he pee & poo everywhere with no obedience at all though he went for training. With that said after my dog came back from house of paws I was surprised no incident at all, he listened when we tell him to stop or go your bed. He played a lot & enjoyed his time at house of paws to extend when he came back home he just wanted to sleep. I appreciate the update I’ve been given throughout the day with pictures & video. In one of the photos my dog had a big smile on his face.I highly recommend this place. -Abeer Dhanhani

Dogwalk is a family-run business established in 2010. Aside from dog training, they also have a hotel, daycare, grooming services, rehabilitation services, fitness plans, transport, and events for your pets.

Dogwalk has four types of training programs available for your pet’s needs. They have group classes, individual training, in-house training, and behavioral counseling.

What’s great about Dogwalk is they have an option for a monthly subscription for group classes where you pay a fixed fee and you can attend as many sessions as your schedule lets you from once to six times a week. So it’s very personalized and caters not just to your dog’s needs but also your own.

In group classes, they teach your dog basic obedience commands and improve their socialization skills with other dogs and other people. They get to learn simple cues, basic manners, verbal cues, and even loose-leash walking.

We like how the teachers handle the class, they’re very knowledgeable and you really get a good grasp of what they’re trying to teach.

What’s nice about group training is you get a better understanding of your dog so when behavioral problems arise, you can also come up with your own solutions.

If your dog is better suited to be taught alone, they also have individual training that’s tailor-fit to your needs and even your schedule and preferred place. In case you don’t have time to be there during dog training, there’s also an in-house training available that comes with boarding.

Behavior counseling is best for puppies who are still adjusting to their new home. Training will be done in your home where behavioral problems and potty training will be addressed.

We like that they have an option for any type of schedule and preference a dog owner has. Their versatility and expertise definitely earns them a spot on our list.

As for affordability, they’re within industry price. You can refer to this table below to see an estimate of the cost:

TrainingPrice in AED
Induction class (Group class)155 AED
Monthly membership (Group class)1300 AED
Bi-monthly membership (Group class) – with free fitness swim assessment2600 AED
Pack of 5 individual sessions1420 AED
In-house training with boardingSubject to boarding dates
Training with daycare150 AED
Behavior counseling470 AED

As to be expected, individual sessions are more expensive than group classes. So that’s something to consider.

We also particularly like that they’re a business that has frequent visits from a vet. So that makes us dog owners feel comfortable to leave our pet in their hands.

It’s easy to book sessions with them through their website. However, they’re not as active on social media so it might be best to just give them a call.

  • 12 years of experience
  • Option for a monthly subscription
  • Wide range of training programs for every need
  • Frequent visits and consultations with the vet
  • Easy to book sessions on website

  • Not that active on social media
  • Inconsistent operating hours

I tell everyone I know how good the service and how high the standards are here

Thank you so much to Sam, Olivier, Rose and the whole Dogwalk team for looking after my little buddy! I am extremely protective over my little rescue, and I would never let anybody but Dogwalk look after her! She has a weekly swimming lesson, gets her nails clipped and her training has come on so well, especially when my own knowledge was admittedly very limited!

I really can’t praise Dogwalk enough! You are all amazing and I tell everyone I know how good the service and how high the standards are here! -Jack Clifton

My dog absolutely loves going there

Fantastic day care and great group training classes! My dog absolutely loves going there!

She was initially very shy and scared of other dogs and thanks to Dogwalk she opened up and became very social and playful. I am not stressed about traveling anymore because she loves staying there overnight and doesn’t even miss me much. Also obedience group training with Mena Lopez is really good. In a nutshell – great place! And they really love dogs! -Agnieszka Oleś

3. My Second Home

        1.2 Responsiveness★★★★☆ (4/5)
2. EXECUTION★★★★★ (5/5)
        2.1 Expertise★★★★★(5/5)
        2.2 Effectiveness★★★★★ (5/5)

Established in 2015, My Second Home is a bit younger compared to the other training centers in this list. Still, they’re worth mentioning because of their established training program and wide range of services offered.

From what we’ve seen, the behavior specialists in their academy who conduct the training are very involved and knowledgeable. They don’t just train the dogs, but they also make sure to brief the owners and equip them with the tools and techniques toward better dog behavior.

What we like about them is they make it a point to include the owners in the development process, so it increases the effectiveness of the training because there are better chances of the training being reinforced at home.

They have lectures and workshops, however it’s only on the first Sunday and Monday of the month. We think that the classes run few and far between, so that’s something to consider with this academy.

Their workshops include basic and advanced principles. We are impressed that they really make sure to give both the owner and the dog a good foundation into dog training.

Aside from actual lectures, they also conduct behavioral consultations and tailor a program for your dog for personal one-on-one training. They work best toward behavior improvement like helping with obedience to commands and assisting with curbing aggressive behavior in dogs.

We noticed their training packages are a bit pricier than most considering most of them take less than an hour.  However, if you pay for membership, you’ll get lower rates for the dog training.

They also have a wide range of services aside from dog training. They have a dog park (which is the world’s largest indoor dog park, by the way), boarding, daycare, and grooming services as well.

They don’t have an online booking system like the others. So, all reservations need to be done via call or in person. They have two highly accessible locations, making it convenient to get to them.

  • Owner is very involved in training program
  • Wide range of services available (largest dog park in the world)
  • Offers discounts upon membership

  • Younger than the competitors
  • No online booking system
  • Pricier training packages

Amazing facilities for dogs! Staff are great, and really care about the dogs always putting their needs first. I can say I fully trust my dog being in their care. She loved everyone there and was always excited to arrive at MSH. We came in for socialization training for our rescue Willow and we’re really impressed by the big improvements she made, and soon she will be ready to go into daycare. I always felt she was in good hands when working with the trainer and handlers. It’s a great day out for both pets and humans! -Lizelle van Tonder

Petsville opened only in 2018, making them the youngest one in our list. Still we included them because they have established a solid reputation for themselves as an all-around pet store through their consistent and trustworthy services.

Although better known for their pet boarding facilities, they also have a really impressive training program. They partner with Pawfect Behavior, which is headed by Aimee Orme, who’s a UK certified and qualified behaviorist.

Aimee’s extensive experience, education,  and pure talent when dealing with pets are very apparent in her training programs. They offer the following:

  • Board and train

We took a peek at their training center and were impressed by how well-equipped it was. We really think they’re a great place to bring your dog for training.

They just have pretty  limited information on their website, making it inconvenient to look through their services. So that’s something to consider with this particular center.

Otherwise, their services seem to be really reliable. From what we’ve seen, their staff are very knowledgeable and gentle with the pets.

It’s impressive to see how attentive they are to the dogs. The knowledge that your dog is in good hands while getting trained is very comforting as a dog owner.

They offer different programs based on your needs. Some of the most popular programs are the following:

How To Pick the Best Dog Trainer for Your Dog

With the different classes and centers for dog training, it can get overwhelming to know which kind of training to get and where. So we gathered some tips to help you decide on the best dog trainer for your needs.

  1. Check out reviews and referrals.

Reviews and referrals can give insight into a dog trainer’s efficiency, effectiveness, attitude of the staff, and professionalism. Doing your prior research can save you a lot of time and trouble moving forward.

  1. Ask for a quotation.

Each dog training center has their own pricing structure, so make sure to ask about that. Some centers gauge the price based on their assessment of your dog, while some have fixed prices depending on the number of sessions.

Once you have a finalized list of the dog trainers that piqued your interest, you can then ask for a quotation to compare prices.

  1. Research about their expertise and experience.

Look into the center’s experience in dog training. Check their years of experience, success rates, and other important factors.

  1. Assess what your pet needs.

Lastly, get to know your pet. Know their temperament, behavioral issues, and other concerns. Knowing this can help you get better guidance into what kind of dog training fits your dog best.
