7 Stand-Up Comedy Spots in Dubai That Had Me Crying From Laughing
For me, life’s too short not to laugh. I’ve always been the funny guy, and I get the most satisfaction when other people crack up at my jokes, impressions, or skits. And not to brag, but I think being crowned as the Class Clown has its perks—the ladies love me!
Kidding aside, being the go-to guy for laughs can get a little tiring for me. I love sitcoms, movies, books, and podcasts for my daily dose of comedy. Still, I feel nothing beats the thrill of real-time laughs.
That’s when I started checking out the best stand-up comedy spots in Dubai. And sometimes, I even get to interact with the comics and take it like a champ when they roast me! Check out my go-to funniest comedy venues below.
Where can I watch stand-up shows in Dubai?
There are many places where you can watch stand-up shows in Dubai! Swing by The Laughter Factory, Flamingo Live, Comedy KiX, The Theatre, and Mad Cat Comedy for a good laugh with your crew.

Address: The Palm – Studio City – Barsha Heights and Business Bay – Jumeirah Beach Residence
Contact Details: +971 50 878 6728, [email protected]
Operating Hours:
- Thursday to Saturday – 8 PM to 10:30 PM
Fees:
- Ages 21+ – starts at AED 160
The Laughter Factory is a comedy club that hosts several professional stand-up comedians in Dubai every month. While it showcases international artists, I appreciate that it features lots of locals too!
You’ll enjoy 3 to 4 comics, with the last act usually the best at bringing the house down. Moreover, the comedians here have different styles. So if you don’t laugh right away, I say just be patient. There are plenty of opportunities for you to do so!
Friendly advice:
The Laughter Factory’s space looks intimate—you can even sit super close to the stage! However, this may be a tad too small for some, so I feel it’s best to bring only 1 to 3 friends or loved ones with you.
And if you’re going with someone pregnant, it’s wise to arrive earlier or call in advance to ask if there would be enough seats.
Flamingo Live

Address: Cluster A – Jumeirah Lake Towers
Contact Details: +971 50 590 8944, [email protected]
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Sunday – 10 AM to 10 PM
Fees:
- Entry – AED 85 (includes 2 house beverages)
Flamingo Live offers local stand-up comedy shows that I think can be worth your time and money. Aside from the entry fee coming with drinks, each act comes quickly one after another to keep you laughing and entertained—no dull moments here, I believe.
Moreover, I appreciate that the tables and chairs look reasonably spaced apart. For me, it’s not too crowded so you can enjoy the jokes, as well as local snacks and cocktails with ease.
Handy hack:
Want to make your night more fun? I recommend arriving early to sit in front at Flamingo Live. This can increase your chances of being part of the stand-up bits!
Comedy KiX

Address: Al Barsha – Al Barsha 1
Contact Details: +971 56 484 8596, [email protected]
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Sunday – 9 AM to 11:30 PM
Fees:
- Free entry but with a minimum spend of AED 75
Comedy KiX is run by powerhouse couple Imah Dumagay (Filipino) and Amr Elassal (Egyptian), some of the most creative and productive comedians in the city.
Not only do they organize comedy shows, but I also find it incredible that the owners teach comedy too. If you ever feel inspired by their comedic style and timing, why not learn from them directly?
Smart move:
Comedy KiX provides monitors all over the venue to match the comic’s background. For the best experience, I suggest grabbing a seat earlier to get a clearer view of these screens—we think they add more value to the experience.
The Theatre

Address: Mall of the Emirates – Sheikh Zayed Rd – Al Barsha – Al Barsha 1
Contact Details: +971 4 299 2282
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Sunday – 10 AM to 12 AM
The Theatre is among the most accessible comedy spots in Dubai. It’s located at the Mall of the Emirates, so I believe you can easily treat yourself to a funny live show after a whole day of errands or shopping!
We also love the quaint theater space with great acoustics and comfy seating. The way I see it, you can have a great view of the stage no matter which row. And as a bonus, even international stand-up stars like Trevor Noah do their magic here!
Insider scoop:
It can be tricky for newcomers to locate The Theatre’s entrance because of the poorly made signages.
For easy access, I advise heading to Parking Level 2. The entrance is separate from the mall, opposite parking no. A6, and near Magic Planet.

Want humor with a bit of an edge? Mad Cat Comedy is a stand-up comedy club for unfiltered, politically incorrect comedy in Dubai.
We appreciate that it provides a diverse lineup as well! This spot brings international headliners and hosts local talent at fortnightly shows to its open mic nights.
The stand-up comedians also cover all kinds of topics with a quick wit to keep you on your toes. But no worries—they can work clean too! if you need to book them for a corporate event, they’ll try their best not to offend anyone there.
Cool recommendations:
We think Mad Cat Comedy offers some mean sweet potato fries—make sure to get some before losing yourself in your laughs!
And if for some reason you want to be roasted (for funsies), I highly recommend sitting in front!

Dubomedy is made up of pioneers of the local comedy community in the UAE. We’re in awe that this entertainment agency does it all—stand-up, sketch comedy, variety arts, script and content writing, comedy training, and more.
The folks here have also been making people laugh since 2008, so I think they’re pretty much pros in the comedy scene.
I also think it’s great that thousands of students have graduated from its Dubomedy Arts School, a Middle Eastern premier comedy training school. This offers professional acting training, stand-up comedy, basic circus skills, NYC tap dance, and so on.
New skill alert:
Dubomedy offers comedy courses, so why not consider a new hobby (hobby Dubai) to boost your self-confidence? I think comedy is a lifesaver in more ways than one!

Easily bored and always searching for something spontaneous? Improv Dubai provides multiple fun and interactive shows—all without a script.
We heard this spot is known to hold the audience’s attention from start to finish as well. For me, this speaks volumes to the talent of its actors. In my view, continuous laughter is no easy feat.
Apart from getting hearty laughs, I like that the actors would try to make you cry or feel other emotions in between. For me, this makes this act more unique than the others. Plus, I love that each performance is one-of-a-kind—not at all repetitive!
