As I touched down in Dubai, excitement bubbled within me; I had just one free day to soak up the sun, and my heart was set on the beach. Jumeirah Public Beach came up in my searches, and Google says it’s known for its pristine sands and stunning views.
I was looking for a beach with soft sand, crystal-clear waters, plenty of activities, and Jumeirah Public Beach delivered on all fronts. But the real question was, did it live up to the hype?

Jumeirah Public Beach runs along the Arabian Gulf and is known for its soft white sand and clear blue waters. The beach is also well-known for its excellent surfing conditions, making it one of the few places in Dubai where you can enjoy this activity.
It’s located in the prestigious Jumeirah district and is home to iconic landmarks such as the Burj Al Arab. Many visitors use this natural beauty to capture memorable photos against the iconic Burj Al Arab or while enjoying the beach.
The beach is free to the public, allowing locals and tourists to enjoy its offerings without any entry fees. There are also designated areas for children to ensure families enjoy a fun day out together while keeping kids entertained.
Best Time to Go to Jumeirah Public Beach

The best time to visit Jumeirah Public Beach is from November to March, preferably on weekdays or early morning. During this time, the temperatures range from 24°C to 30°C (75°F to 86°F) during the day, making it comfortable for outdoor activities like swimming and sunbathing.
How to Get to Jumeirah Public Beach

1. Metro and Bus Combo
One way to get to the beach is by taking the Dubai Metro and a bus. You start by jumping on the Red Line and then hop off at Sharaf DG Metro Station. From there, it’s just a short 8-minute walk to the beach.
If you’re more of a bus person, you can catch the F55A or 81 routes that stop nearby. This way is not only easy on the wallet, but it also gives you a taste of Dubai’s public transport system.
Once you reach Sharaf DG, take a moment to soak in the local scenery on your way to the beach. The walk is quite delightful, and you’ll get a feel for the lively atmosphere of Dubai before stepping onto the sands.
2. Ride-Hailing Services
Another way to get to the beach is to take a taxi or ride-hailing service like Uber or Careem. You can hop into a cab from anywhere in Dubai, and within about 20-30 minutes, you’ll be at the beach.
3. Bicycle Rentals
If you’re into staying active, biking to Jumeirah Public Beach is a must. One popular option is BYKY, which has rental stations all over Dubai, including spots at JBR and Dubai Marina.
You can rent a regular bike for AED 20 for 30 minutes or a double bike for AED 55 for 45 minutes. Another cool choice is Nextbike. Through their app, you can rent bikes from different metro stations starting at AED 15 for 30 minutes.

If you’re up for some adventure, you’ve got to check out Jumeirah Public Beach. It’s the perfect spot for all sorts of water sports. You can try everything from kitesurfing to paddleboarding.
And guess what? The Kite n Surf kiosk offers rentals and lessons for thrill-seekers who want to learn or improve their skills. Let me tell you, kitesurfing is an absolute rush as you ride over the waves.
Plus, they’ve got instructors who can help beginners get the hang of it. If you’re more into taking it easy, paddleboarding is a great option. You can leisurely explore the coastline at your own pace, taking in all the beautiful scenery. It’s totally up to you!
3. Go cycling.

Jumeirah Public Beach also has this awesome 16-kilometer RTA cycling track along the coast. You can rent bikes from nearby shops or use services like Nextbike to cruise along this beautiful route.
Cycling along the beach is great exercise and gives you breathtaking views of the sea and cool landmarks like Sunset Mall and Burj Al Arab. It’s like getting your workout in while exploring the area.

JW Marriott Marquis Hotel is one of the tallest hotels in the world, so you can just imagine the stunning views. We also loved the complimentary shuttle service to popular attractions like The Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates.
Our room was amazing—spacious and elegant, with the most luxurious bedding and a marble bathroom that made us feel like royalty. From our window, we could see the entire Dubai skyline and the sparkling waters of the Arabian Gulf.
The hotel had over 15 restaurants and lounges, each offering a unique dining experience. We savored authentic Indian cuisine at Rang Mahal and indulged in delightful Italian dishes at Positano.
2. Al Habtoor Palace

Al Habtoor Palace will welcome you with elegant decor with crystal chandeliers and plush furnishings set the tone for a truly royal experience. It’s conveniently located just a short drive from Jumeirah Public Beach.
Dining at Al Habtoor Palace was another highlight of my stay. With six fantastic restaurants to choose from, I was spoiled for choice! The Champagne Lounge was perfect for winding down with a glass of bubbly after a day in the sun.
I also loved having access to a stunning outdoor swimming pool that felt like a private oasis. The fitness center was also top-notch, allowing me to stay active while on vacation. Plus, there’s a kids’ club for families, so everyone has something fun to do.
3. ME Dubai

ME Dubai, designed by Zaha Hadid, is an architectural masterpiece in the Dubai skyline. As soon as we stepped into the lobby, we were blown away by the futuristic design, with its unique shapes and vibrant colors.
They also offer personalized concierge services and hold cultural events like live music and themed dinners, so there’s always something happening to make your stay even better.
They’re also big on art, with temporary galleries showcasing local talent throughout our visit. The dining options were amazing, too; we had a fantastic dinner at ROKA, where they served delicious contemporary Japanese dishes in a lively setting.
4. Leva Hotel Mazaya Centre

Leva Hotel Mazaya Centre has really cool and cozy rooms. Ours even had a kitchenette, which was so convenient for quick snacks and coffee in the morning. Oh, and the view of the Burj Khalifa from our room was breathtaking!
But you know what the best part was? The rooftop pool! It’s a perfect spot to relax with a cocktail or soak up the sun. It’s also just a short walk from the Burj Khalifa Metro Station, making exploring all of Dubai’s main attractions super easy.
And get this – they even offer complimentary shuttle services to Jumeirah Public Beach, which is a nice bonus!
5. Paramount Hotel Midtown

When we arrived at Paramount Hotel Midtown, we felt like we were stepping into a glamorous movie set—the whole place had this cool Hollywood vibe. The mid-century styling and vibrant atmosphere made an impression on us.
The rooftop pool had amazing skyline views and was the perfect spot to unwind after a day at the beach. As for dining, Paparazzi Tuscany completely wowed us with its authentic Italian cuisine and upscale ambiance.
But what made this place special was how it catered to families and couples. The Kids’ Club entertained our little ones, and the themed rooms, like the Blockbuster Suite, made us all feel like stars.
Where to Eat Near Jumeirah Public Beach
1. Nusr-Et Dubai

Nusr-Et Dubai is a meat lover’s paradise. The menu is crafted by the only Nusret Gökçe, aka “Salt Bae.” Every dish is prepared with flair, making dining there an experience.
The show’s real star was the Golden Tomahawk Steak—it was coated in edible gold leaf! They also had an amazing selection of wines to pair with the meal, and our server knew the menu inside out and made some great recommendations.
Oh, and they convinced us to try their signature baklava for dessert, which was the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal.
2. Amazónico Dubai

Amazónico Dubai is like a vibrant, tropical rainforest in the middle of the city. It’s a three-story restaurant, and each floor has its unique feel—from the energetic lounge on the ground floor to the rooftop terrace with views of the Dubai skyline.
The food is a fusion of Latin American flavors, and the restaurant focuses on responsibly sourced ingredients. The menu is extensive, and we couldn’t resist trying their signature Sushi Moriawase.
There was also live music also played, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. After dinner, we went to the rooftop for cocktails and enjoyed the stunning views.
3. Sirali Dubai

The moment we stepped into Sirali Dubai, we were hit with the lively vibe and the incredible smell of Turkish food. The whole place is beautifully decorated with Turkish elements, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The menu is like a journey through Turkey and Ottoman flavors. They put a unique twist on classic dishes, and let me tell you, every bite was an adventure.
We couldn’t resist trying the Sıralı Kebab, which was marinated and grilled perfectly. Plus, they have outdoor seating with a view of the Dubai skyline, adding to the whole experience.
4. Sea Fu

Sea Fu’s beachfront views were stunning, and the menu is a seafood lover’s dream. It offers everything from fresh sashimi to grilled specialties, showcasing Asian culinary techniques.
The space has elegant Asian influences and calming ocean-inspired colors to create a peaceful and fancy vibe. Inside, the walls are decorated with delicate patterns, and outside, there’s a terrace with stunning sea views.
We tried the Grilled Hokkaido Scallops, which were out of this world! I’d recommend them. Paired with a refreshing cocktail, they were the absolute highlight of our meal.
5. Shai Salon & Terrace

Shai Salon & Terrace was elegant and sophisticated, with high ceilings, marble columns, and super comfy seating. Its perfect blend of modern design and Middle Eastern influences made us feel relaxed and upscale at the same time.
The menu is seriously diverse, offering a wide range of international dishes for every taste bud. We were really into the all-day dining concept, where you can grab anything from a light snack to a full meal whenever you want.
But what blew us away was the afternoon tea service, led by the famous French pastry chef Nicolas Lambert. The pastries and sandwiches were so intricate and indulgent that it felt like a special treat.

Sunset Mall is spacious and well-lit. It has a great mix of high-end boutiques and popular retail brands. It was easy to find my way around, which made shopping there a real treat.
What sets Sunset Mall apart is its combination of luxury and a real community vibe. I stumbled upon an art arcade featuring local artists’ work, which was cool. The LED displays in the evening created such a vibrant atmosphere.
2. Dubai Mall

Dubai Mall has over 1,200 stores, from fancy luxury brands to regular shops, and it felt like a dream come true for us.
One thing that stood out to us was their cool amenities. Free Wi-Fi was a lifesaver, and the valet parking and delivery service made our trip much easier.
But the Dubai Mall is special because it’s not just about shopping. We took a break from the stores to check out the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo. We also caught the Dubai Fountain show outside, which was absolutely unforgettable.
3. The Mall

The Mall houses high-street brands and boutique stores, so there’s something for everyone. It also has plenty of parking, clean restrooms, and a fantastic food court with tons of dining options.
But what sets The Mall apart is its community feel. The layout encourages social interaction, and there are cozy seating areas where you can just hang out.
The mall also features local artisans showcasing their crafts, giving visitors a real taste of Dubai’s vibrant culture.
4. Mercato Shopping Mall

When I first walked into Mercato Shopping Mall., I was taken aback by the beautiful Italian Renaissance architecture. It felt like I was strolling through a charming European village rather than a regular shopping mall.
With around 130 retailers, there was something for everyone, from high-end fashion brands to local boutiques. And let me tell you about the amenities – so many dining options to fuel our shopping spree, from cafes for quick bites to sit-down restaurants.
What impressed me was the family-friendly atmosphere. There were play areas for kids, so parents could shop without worrying about keeping the little ones entertained.
