The Galadari Motor Driving Center has been a spot for student drivers since its opening in 2004– offering both basic and advanced driving courses to help drivers not only get behind the wheel, but feel confident in the seat, too.
Students we spoke to praised the learning systems at the center. Instructors would lay out well-structured lesson plans, combining both theory and written literature with more hands-on, practical tests on the road.
A few also mentioned feeling especially confident thanks to instructors putting a focus on tailoring their teaching style for specific students, allowing for a more personalized experience. However, this comes at the cost of lessons having a very strict timetable.
In addition to this strictness, students lastly mentioned some facing long waiting times for confirming the schedule for lessons– so following up regularly and keeping patient is definitely recommended.

With a service history dating all the way back to 1991, the Emirates Driving Institute is likely a familiar name to student drivers all over Dubai. Over the years, it has steadily expanded its suite of lessons, extending to heavy vehicles like buses and trucks.
Immediately, a factor we noticed about the school was accessibility. The branch we managed to visit was located quite close to the metro, making travel to and from the center for lessons easier on the students.
For branches that aren’t, however, students we managed to speak to reported having access to transportation via buses to and from lessons. However, some mentioned having difficulties with obtaining time slots for classes in the first place.
A last word of advice some students had was to keep in close contact with your instructor, as their schedules can become quite packed and unclear.

Since 2001, the Belhasa Driving Center has been helping various students go from nervous drivers to fully road-safe truckers. With a fleet of over 700 vehicles and various branches across Dubai, the center’s grown to be a rising name in the field.
What came to the forefront on our own quick visit was that the center placed a lot of focus on the RTA rules and regulations, trying for every student that goes through their program to be as road-safe as they ould.
Students also reported having a wide suite of instructors, allowing for them to request a swap if the current setup isn’t working for them. That being said, Belhasa does possess a higher cost for learning packages as a result.
One more things students told us was that the processing time for documents could take a while, so patient was definitely key when studying driving there.

It’s all in the name– the Excellence Driving School launched with a mission to help drivers get confident behind the wheel, and has been providing lessons for a number of vehicles to achieve that goal– from cars to heavy trucks and more.
A factor that immediately caught our attention was the responsiveness of the team– instructors generally responded quickly and clearly to queries, which students we spoke to also praised regarding the school. At least, until it came to the package pricing.
In contrast to the unclear pricing for packages, though, students brought up the support systems available at the center: with counseling even being offered before tests, helping students banish their nerves before going through an assessment.
Lastly, some students mentioned that the timing at the school could be very strict, with rescheduling or extra hours costing extra fees in some cases.

Coming up on almost two decades of service, the Al Ahli Driving Center has been providing truck driving lessons in Dubai since it first opened its doors in 2006. With 18 branches and counting, aspiring truckers would be remiss not to plan a visit!
Student drivers of the center we managed to speak to generally reported being in a patient and relaxed environment, with instructors staying supportive all throughout lessons– which we find convenient for nervous drivers.
Some students did say that enrolling in lessons could take a while, as the company has long response times both over phone and email– but that lessons could be very easily scheduled and rescheduled.
That being said, this flexibility in scheduling also applies to the instructors, as some students mentioned having lessons get delayed on short notice: something to keep in mind when choosing this center.
