Located at the Dubai Investment Park 1, Rock Republic is one of the biggest bouldering gyms in the Middle East. They offer good courses and coaching services for any age and fitness level.
It’s important for guests to know that Rock Republic’s activity is more oriented towards bouldering. It’s similar enough in the core experience but bouldering typically does not use any ropes and harnesses.
Of course, they do have soft mats underneath the courses for safety. In this way, this can be a good alternative in case you find it hard to really go outside for a more challenging rope climbing activity.
They have open boulder activities ranging from different levels at surprisingly reasonable prices. They also offer a good private coaching session for two hours, which already covers the fees, gym pass, and even shoes.
Children can also have fun on their coached climbing sessions, making it a good place for them to get their physical playtime. In the meantime, parents can chill at the nearby cafe which we think is a convenient service in the venue.
However, one point of improvement we wish to see is navigation. It took us a good while to locate the facility while we were at the investment park due to the unfamiliar layout.
All-in-all, we find Rock Republic to be a good venue for beginners looking to get into the activity. More experienced climbers may want a more challenging venue but fortunately, we think their advanced courses are still enough to satisfy those needs.

Billing itself as a premier indoor rock climbing facility, Mountain Extreme has designed a dynamic array of courses for both beginners and experienced people looking for a place to flex their muscles in Dubai.
The business offers a varied selection of courses. Officially, they can have up to 129 bouldering problems and 127 top rope routes, giving visitors a different arrangement and problem they can try and clear.
As such, we think this allows them to live up to their claim of having something for both beginners and intermediate climbers looking for a new training course and experience.
All of their instructors are also AMGA Climbing Wall Instructor-certified as well, which we think helps with the peace of mind for some people including parents who may be looking to get their children to try the activity.
This shows well in how they are able to manage multiple people in our opinion. They’ve been able to keep the climb going well without much delay and customers we’ve spoken to all spoke fondly of the coaching experience.
They do have a few words regarding payments though. Apparently, some customers reported having problems with their cards not being read by the system, which is hard since some of the staff do not accept cash.
We think they can be a bit more transparent about the payment process even before the prospective clients have even booked the venue for the activity.
Overall, we found Mountain Extreme to be a good intermediate level activity provider in Dubai. People looking to apply their skill and experience a channel should be able to have fun with the number of courses offered in the place.

The Wall offers a more competitive climbing experience, featuring an outdoor course that is quite high and challenging at first glance. They’ve tailored their services to get the youth and adults to be a lot more physically active in Dubai.
The Wall offers both professional assistance from their instructors as well as a number of outdoor rock climbing courses for intermediate ages.
Most of their arrangements appeared to be more suitable for experienced climbers. It’s a bit higher and the placements of the boulders all seemed to be geared towards a firmer grip.

Adventure Zone is a dedicated indoor adventure facility that definitely seems more suited for a casual, young audience. They provide all of these facilities and a consistent adventure experience throughout all of their branches.
They are managed by certified instructors and coaches suitable for a range of fitness levels, which we think is good for people who look for that added assurance in the facility.
They have tailored their courses to be more of a casual experience that’s suitable for a wide range of ages. While they may not exactly challenge someone a lot more experienced, we think it’s just the right level for their younger audience.
In addition to their rock climbing activities, they also provide a host of other experiences such as skating, trampolines, caving, and even zip lines.
This makes it a great spot to take kids during their birthdays or even on just a family weekend in our opinion. Adults can relax while their kids go and satisfy their sense of adventure.
Trainers are quite attentive as well. They were very patient with all of the kids and they’re also able to keep the lines moving smoothly ensuring every kid gets a turn on the provided facilities.
The courses do lean on the pricier side however, at least if you’re only looking for the climbing aspect.
Their booking service can also use some improvements as well. Some customers have reported arriving at the venue on time only to find out that it opens just a while later.
Perhaps a better heads-up can be sent to their customers a few hours in advance so that they don’t experience a lot of inconvenience.
Still, Adventure Zone should prove to be a fun afternoon for the family. We think they make for a great stop to let the kids indulge in the adventure provided by its different facilities.

Magic Planet offers quite a selection of different activities and games in the venue. It has a good mix of different arcade-style machines located alongside more physical-based attractions.
Younger children can have fun in a vibrant foam pit as well as some beginner climbing courses and trampolines. Older kids may find fun in the different games like shooters, bump cars, and more intermediate courses.
For rock climbers though, their big wall proves to be the main attraction. It is quite tall and has been used as a venue for some speed climbing challenges in Dubai.
It is definitely more suited towards the adventurous though it may feel a little too high for those who are more faint-hearted.
Magic Planet’s convenient locations make it quite accessible for all ages. However, this does have some minor drawbacks that we think customers should know about.
For one, the venue can be quite noisy. All of the activities targeting different age levels are located near each other, making it difficult to make out what you and your companions are saying at times.
