It’s been around since the mid-90s, and is the first in the region to receive the JCI (Joint Commission International) award, which is a globally recognized symbol of healthcare quality.

Rashid Hospital is a government-run facility under the Dubai Health authority. It has been around for about fifty years, making it a well-known institution in the region.
Since its establishment in the 70s, it has grown into a 600-bed hospital.
It’s particularly known for its Emergency and Trauma Department, which is one of the busiest in the area. The department handles major traffic accidents, cardiac arrests, and life-threatening injuries on a daily basis.
Beyond emergencies, Rashid Hospital also offers other services such as orthopedics and general surgery.
Because they often deal with emergencies, patients describe the facility to be “organized chaos.” It’s always very busy, but the doctors and nurses are able to handle high-pressure situations.
