The 5 Best Dance Classes in Karama Where You Can Dance Your Heart Out
Growing up, I was obsessed with the Step Up movies. There was just something about people dancing their hearts out, improving with every move, and building tight-knit communities through it.
Our team got curious—could that kind of magic actually happen in real life? So we checked out some dance classes in Karama and chatted with students about their experiences.
Turns out, it could happen… just as long as you’re in the right dance class studio.
Here are the ones we’d totally vouch for. Honestly, if time allowed, we’d probably be signing up ourselves!
How much does a dance class cost in Karama?
A typical dance-class package runs around AED 315–AED 370 per month for about 8 sessions, which is roughly twice a week.
1. Just Dance Performing Art and Music Center

Address: Just Dance Dubai – Building – Studio No. 23, Ground Floor – opposite to Al Ibrahimi Palace Restaurant, Rawdat
Phone: +971 50 368 7769
Business hours: Monday to Sunday: 10 AM – 9 PM
Our team was very impressed with the variety of dance styles offered at Just Dance Performing Art and Music Center. They do Bharatnatyam, Bollywood, hip hop, and more.
The instructors seem genuinely passionate. They teach more than just steps because they also focus on rhythm, expression, and confidence.
The way they structure classes is another strong point. By grouping students according to skill level, everyone stays on the same page. It avoids the common problem of mixed-ability classes where some feel left behind and others feel unchallenged.
It’s not all about dance here. The school’s integration of music, fine arts, and even martial arts creates a wider creative playground.
That said, we noticed that their fee structure can be a little daunting. On top of class fees, there’s registration, transport, and VAT.
While it’s transparent, it can feel like a lot of extra costs for someone who just wants to try a few classes without committing heavily.

2. MAD: Mad About Dance Dubai

Address: Centerpoint Mall, Near Burjuman
Phone: +971 55 107 3999
Business hours:
- Monday to Friday: 11 AM – 8 PM
- Saturday: 11 AM – 12 AM
- Sunday: 11 AM – 8 PM
MAD studio offers a crazy mix of styles—Bollywood, Bhangra, Zumba, and more. This way, there’s always something you can dive into.
We really like that they let you try a free class first. It’s a smart move because you can feel out the studio, the instructors, and the energy before committing.
The instructors are probably their biggest strength. Every coach is highly trained and has a strong record in dance.
Based on speaking with some students, we think they really bring out each student’s potential.
Sometimes, they’d even hold some workshops with international choreographers. Students would get exposure to different styles and techniques, which is rare in most local studios.
That said, if you just want to pop in and move a bit, MAD might feel a little intense. They’re really focused on technique and progress, so skipping classes can leave you a step behind.
The teachers here are exceptional
“I recently attended a series of classes, and I must say, it has been an absolutely exhilarating experience. The teachers here are not just good; they’re exceptional. They possess a deep understanding of dance and a passion for teaching that truly shines through in every class…”

3. jazzrockers

Address: Al Kifaf Oasis Building, Shop No. 6, Ground Floor, Near Burjman Metro Station -Exit No: 2
Phone: +971 4 267 7997
Business hours: Monday to Sunday: 8:30 AM – 9 PM
Although JazzRockers offers dance classes for both adults and children, we think they really shine when it comes to kids’ dance classes.
The teachers know how to keep kids engaged. They teach moves that build confidence while making sure everyone has fun.
Kids here can try different dance styles (Bollywood, ballet, hip hop). The way they structure classes by skill level means beginners aren’t left behind.
The grand performances every six months are a nice bonus too. Kids can actually get to show off what they’ve learned, which is way more exciting than just practising in a studio.
One thing that also stood out to us was their transport system. They have trained staff and vehicles to pick up and drop off kids safely within 5 km of the studio.
You have to remember, though, that JazzRockers isn’t just about dance. They also do music and fine arts classes.
It’s great if you’re into multiple things, but it also means the schedule can get a little tight.
My daughter has gotten better and better at dancing
“Hello-! My daughter goes to dance in this place, and so far it’s been amazing; The coach is very patient, and never fails to teach perfectly. Business hours:

- Friday to Sunday: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Ocean Kids Institute also stands out to us as a dance school for kids. What’s great is that they balance learning real dance skills with letting kids be creative and have fun.
From the feedback we heard, parents love that their kids look forward to classes instead of feeling pressured or bored.
The classes are structured that support progress. Beginners are welcome, but as you improve, the lessons gently challenge you to get better.
They offer lots of styles, from hip hop and Bollywood to contemporary and freestyle.
We also loved that the class packages are flexible. You can start with just a few sessions to see how it goes or commit to a 6-month plan for steady improvement.
The free trial is a nice bonus, letting you get a feel for the classes before signing up.
The only downside we saw was that their classes are a bit pricey compared to the other studios we’ve looked into.
Teachers here are supportive and hardworking
“One of the best institutes I have ever been with. Teachers here are too supportive and hardworking; they make sure every student learns whatever is taught. Music, Dance, Arts at their best. 🙂 Good Luck”

Business hours:
- Monday: 9 AM – 1 PM, 4 PM – 8 PM
- Tuesday: Closed
- Wednesday to Saturday: 9 AM – 1 PM, 4 PM – 8 PM
- Sunday: 9 AM – 2 PM
Antara Institutions is the best choice for anyone serious about learning Bharatanatyam or Kuchipudi.
The classes are well structured. They start with the basics and gradually move into more complex choreography, expressive pieces, and even theoretical studies about classical Indian dance.
We think the focus on technique, posture, rhythm, and expression makes it ideal for students who want to get serious about mastering these styles.
From what we’ve heard, they really value community here. The teachers are enthusiastic, patient, and encouraging.
There are even parents who noticed that their kids have gained confidence, gotten healthier, and even enjoyed bonding with others while dancing as a team.
On the flip side, we don’t think they’re the best fit if you’re looking to try a bunch of different dance styles.
Everything here is focused on building real skill in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi.
Huge thanks to Antara!
“I have been learning Kuchipudi with Antara since 2020. It’s not only the journey of learning Indian classical dance, but it’s a journey to learn more about spirituality, our own culture and ethics. As I am learning more and more, I feel proud about being a part of our thousands of years old traditional music and art. Thanks, Antara, for giving me the opportunity to restart my training and guiding me on this wondrous path of worship.”
