Bateel is a shop almost wholly based on dates and everything surrounding them. The shop is popular among those looking for luxury gifts thanks to the bespoke packaging and customization options, allowing for personalized gifts.

Beyond the quality of the dates, we love that each box can be curated. Whether you’re a fan of Ajwa dates or Khidri dates, Bateel’s variety can leave customers spoilt for choice.

That being said, some did mention the price fluctuates based on weight when buying at their physical location. We’d recommend sticking with their existing sets if you have a set budget.

We also wanted to note the surprisingly budget-friendly prices at the shop, even for full sets weighing a kilogram or more. This can be attractive to customers who want value for money.

However, be prepared to wait after ordering, as some customers reported to us that the delivery schedule tends to get delayed based on driver availability.

As their name might imply, Cakewalk Bakery mostly stocks dates as desserts. They feature varieties like dates with crunchy almonds or walnuts, and covered in their own chocolate to make them a sweet treat that can’t be beat.

When talking with customers, most reported liking the recommendations coming from the staff. The staff were spot on in recommending boxes that suit the customers, which is most likely because of their extensive knowledge of their menu. 

That being said, we did note that there are limited varieties of date boxes in the shop. Options for which dates you want to include in your set are also very limited.

On the bright side, the bakery is very responsive. Many customers also shared that they willingly throw together a nice gift box even at the last minute. Convenient for pesky sudden gatherings, to say the least.

These treats range from chocolates to covered strawberries and yes, dates! The dates they offer at Not Just Desserts have various fillings and coverings. Whether you prefer milk chocolate or almonds, customers are spoilt for choice. 

What blew us away the first time was seeing the large portion sizes. While the shop does have smaller packs for those wanting samples of the treats first, their main gift sets can feature up to forty to fifty dates in a pack. 

As a luxury brand, customers have also praised the aesthetically pleasing packaging of the shop. These come solid too, making sure none of your treats gets deformed when taking them home.

That being said, when chatting with customers, we noted their difficulties when it comes to tracking their orders. This can be inconvenient, especially when factoring in delivery times.

Some also mentioned the long response times from the shop when following up on orders, so we’d really recommend staying patient.
