Sharaf DG is a big-box electronics retailer in Dubai, usually located in popular malls in the area. While not exactly a dedicated gaming hub, the store does boast an impressive library of video games.
This makes visiting the place quite convenient, in our opinion. You can easily pop in to check new stock while you’re doing your weekly shopping trips for groceries and other items.
As an added bonus, some branches even allow you to get free parking for a set amount of time.
Navigating the store is also quite easy – the signs are all well-placed and their support staff is quite responsive if you have any questions. Although, we did find some things that can be improved.
Games are plentiful, alongside the most popular consoles. Whether you are looking for Switch games, PS5 or Xbox games, or even mobile phones capable of playing titles like Call of Duty: Mobile, Sharaf has it all for you.
We do recommend visiting the physical location more though. We have heard reports of people finding an item available on the website only to find out that it’s out of stock in the store.
Warranty information can be a little confusing as well and we think staff should explain it better. Some customers report being sold on a two-year warranty period only to then find out that it was only for one year after purchase.
Fortunately, the returns process for games was simple enough, according to most customers, provided you follow the right guidelines.

Created as a concept store for video game enthusiasts and collectors back in 2016, Star Games has since grown to be a very popular stop for filling out your gaming backlog in Dubai.
They boast a wide collection of video games, consoles, and even accessories and toys in their store. We think kids will have a blast just looking at all the items on offer in Star Games.
In addition to carrying the latest titles for the latest consoles, we also found the store to have a great number of older games for sale.
For example, we were able to find a handful of PSP titles and even some older PS3 games at the store. We think this can be quite useful for people who are hoping to re-experience some of the older games they played.
In terms of accessories like carrying cases, Joycons for Nintendo Switch, and even spare controllers, we were also satisfied with the selection we found here.
But while most items are priced competitively, we did find a few branded controllers and collectibles to be a bit pricier than other stores. As such, we do recommend comparing your options if you can before committing to a purchase.
