In their own words, Real Pilates is not just a studio, it’s a “sanctuary where you can de-stress, restore, reconnect, and grow”.
This seems to be the ambience that they want to promote in their classes, which holds up based on their client feedback and our own experience in their studio.
A lot of previous students comment on the peaceful and welcoming atmosphere in the studio, which they say makes it a conducive environment for learning and exercising.
Not to mention their instructors are highly-trained, professional, passionate, and extremely knowledgeable.
What we appreciated most about this studio is that the class sizes are not too big, so you still get a lot of guidance and attention from instructors on your form and movement. We think this is perfect for beginners.
Real Pilates has three branches in Jumeirah, JLT, and Meydan that you can choose from based on proximity. However, if you’re not yet comfortable taking face-to-face classes, they also offer virtual classes.
We also thought that booking an appointment was a breeze because they have an app that you can download. You can book sessions and get updates from the studio all on the app, which we found very convenient.
They offer mat Pilates, equipment Pilates, barre, and pre/post natal Pilates. So there are plenty of classes to choose from for every skill level.

Student Reviews:
The instructors are all superb
I love this place! The instructors are ALL superb and wonderful! Very attentive and make sure they keep an eye on each and every person to ensure movements are done correctly and avoid injury; group classes are relatively small which makes the whole experience sort of a semi-private exclusive one . The place is very clean and hygienic, especially the equipment, which is a plus for me !Ketja, Leah and Rachael are amazing instructors! -Nour
I have learnt so much and improved my technique quickly
Real Pilates is absolutely my favourite workout of the week! The instructors are so informed, experienced and professional. I have learnt so much and improved my technique quickly. They have small classes which allow the instructors to notice everyone in the room, you don’t have that frustration as a beginner of feeling you have no idea what you are doing for half a class because you’ve not been noticed doing it wrong! I can’t wait to get back to the chilled vibe of the studio but I have so really enjoyed the virtual classes, amazingly the instruction is just as good! Honestly this is a new way of doing Pilates and I am hooked, if I haven’t been for a few days I miss it, and so does my body. I have noticed that my technique in swimming, running and strength training has improved because I bring my body awareness from Pilates into my practice in other forms of exercises. -Joanna Akram
2. Yasmin Karachiwala’s The PAD

1. ACCESSIBILITY | ★★★☆☆ (3/5) |
1.1 Operating hours | ★★★☆☆ (3/5) |
1.2 Intuitive booking process | ★★★☆☆ (3/5) |
2. EXPERTISE | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
2.1 Qualifications | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
2.2 Teaching abilities | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
3. AFFORDABILITY | ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) |
4. STUDENT SATISFACTION | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
One thing we loved most about The Pad is the infectious energy of the instructors and the fun vibe of the place. It makes working out an enjoyable, interactive, and exciting experience.
Since they’re a pretty small studio compared to the competitors, they really get to keep tabs on the students’ progress.
You can tell them if you’re a beginner or if you already had prior experience and they can adjust the intensity of your program for you depending on your needs.
They also have top-notch instructors. We took a peek at the instructors’ credentials and were impressed by their level and years of experience.
The return students also formed a fun community that makes you feel comfortable easily, contributing to the ambience of the place. It’s a great way to meet fellow Pilates enthusiasts and make friends.
If you’re a first-timer at their studio like us, they offer a free trial class that you can book on their website. In the trial session, we got a feel of their instruction style, equipment, and studio.
If you’re not comfortable with the prospect of in-person Pilates classes, they also offer online classes but they’re only private and solo sessions, so it might cost you a little bit more.
Aside from Pilates classes, they also offer dance classes for kids and adults and trampoline classes. So, this can be a place your family regularly goes to because there’s something for everyone.
We found it convenient that they have free parking easily available to students at the basement of the building, so you don’t have to worry if you brought a car with you.
We noticed that they don’t have a lot of information on their website, so it might be best to just contact them directly. In our experience, they respond fastest via email.
Another possible downside is that since they’re not just a Pilates studio, on some days there are only dance classes and not Pilates. So, make sure to double-check the schedule with them before you book an appointment.
Pros
- Fun vibe and community
- Free trial class
- Also offers other classes besides Pilates
- Free parking
- Responsive (replies fast to emails)
Cons
- Pilates classes are not offered everyday
- Not much information on website
- Less affordable than competitors

The energy, vibe, instructors, ambience like everything is just perfect
The PAD – Pilates & dance studio is the BEST in town. It was my first ever Pilates experience when I came to THE PAD but since then I am a regular here. The energy, vibe, instructors, ambience like everything is just perfect about this place. If you are looking for a great and fun place to workout with the amazing instructors who will not just help you in achieving your goal but also make sure about your correct postures, your pains etc. Also, my daughter loves the dance class there – some amazing instructors who know how to handle a kid while teaching the best of dance. Great work by Shaazia & Abbas , an amazing studio. -Apparrna Sharma
The continuous guidance helps newbies like me
Had an incredible experience at the pad. This being my first experience at Pilates, Shaazia was hands on making sure that all movements are controlled. The continuous guidance helps newbies like me. I’ve done my fair share of physical training at CrossFit boxes and gyms, but the Pilates session really helps these moves and form since it’s controlled and supported using “the reformer”. Feel lighter and refreshed after the session even though it breaks you into a decent sweat and tugs at ancillary muscles. The vibe is incredible, her energy infectious and the overall community amazing. Would highly recommend the group classes to anyone dealing with injuries, looking for a good workout without the high intensity and a perfect complimenting exercise routine apart from your typical gyms and boxes. Thank you Shazia , Abbas and team.- Mihir Sanganee

Inspire studio was established in 2014, so they’re relatively young compared to competitors. Still, they are well-worth the mention because of their solid reputation as a Pilates and yoga studio and their established clientele.
In the short time they’ve been around, they have grown as a business and as a studio. In fact, they now have two branches in Dubai: one in Al Manara and one in DIFC.
So you can choose which one to go to based on which one’s closer to you and the schedule of classes. What we like about Inspire is that they have loads of classes to choose from, so you can choose based on what fits best for your schedule and needs.
They also start relatively early; some classes start as early as 6 in the morning. So if you’re the type who prefers to do their workout before work to jumpstart your day, they’re a good choice for you.
For both branches, we love the relaxing ambience of the place and impressive facilities. It’s not just aesthetically pleasing, it ensures your comfort and uplifts your mood.
For one, we really liked the fact that they have soft yoga tiles. So even if you bring a thin yoga mat, it won’t hurt your back at all.
They also have aroma diffusers and a good sound system so it really helps to get in the zone for Pilates or yoga classes. They also have a really nice changing area and shower area as well.
They have a great team of instructors that are knowledgeable and supportive based on our poll of their previous students. They have extensive years of experience teaching and doing Pilates, so they can really help you improve your form.
We also found it really easy to book an appointment because they have an application you can download. We liked that the whole process was intuitive and convenient.
However, they don’t have virtual classes nor solo sessions that you can book on their website, so if you’re looking for those, it might be best to check out other places instead.

- Lots of classes to choose from
- Opens earlier than most studios
- Easy booking system (they have an app)
- Two branches to choose from

I have been a member since 2016 and just love the studio…the atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff and members, the amazing teachers, the mix of classes and just the whole vibe of the studio. What is a great bonus for me is how the studio has classes at 6:30 which allows me to attend before work! Inspire you are just superb…keep on doing what you do. -Marie Griffiths
The classes are fantastic
Inspire Yoga is definitely one of the BEST yoga studios in Dubai. The classes are fantastic and you can practice different types of yoga from YIN to ASHTANGA. The instructors are extremely qualified and really help you to improve yourself. I strongly recommend Nitai’s and Neha’s classes if you are looking to improve your flow, strength and inner self. The studio is easily accessible. You can park in front. It is very clean and the staff are super nice and very welcoming ! They make you feel at home. Thank you guys. -Benedicte Blanc
4. Yoga House

1. ACCESSIBILITY | ★★★☆☆ (3/5) |
1.1 Operating hours | ★★★☆☆ (3/5) |
1.2 Intuitive booking process | ★★★☆☆ (3/5) |
2. EXPERTISE | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |

2.2 Teaching abilities | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
3. AFFORDABILITY | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
4. STUDENT SATISFACTION | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
Yoga House is probably the youngest studio out of the lot we picked, only starting three years ago. Still, we included them in the list because of the range of services they offered and hundreds of happy clients.
They have two branches: one in Greens and another in the The Intercontinental Hotel. We like that both are in very accessible locations, with free valet parking and discounts for members.
In case you prefer to stay at home during this pandemic, this does not mean you don’t get to join in the fun because they livestream their classes.
A fun bonus is they have some free pre-recorded classes on their website that you can check out if you’re a beginner and still gauging whether Pilates is for you.
In their own words, Yoga House is a “ Breathing Community where one can practice, connect and most importantly be themselves”. It’s a safe space for anyone who wants to learn Pilates.
We think this holds up based on our experience with them as well as our poll of the members in their studio. Although they may be better known for their yoga classes, they also offer different Pilates classes as well as meditation classes, barre, power Pilates and different fusions.
For Pilates in particular, they offer prenatal Pilates, mat Pilates, power Pilates, and aqua Pilates (which we find unique to them). These classes target different parts of your body and have different desired effects on your body.
We love that there are so many different styles of classes to choose from. Their teaching style and offerings are very dynamic, making for a very exciting learning environment that you won’t be easily bored with.
They have an online system on their website, but we find the website a bit clunky. It’s not as intuitive and convenient a process as the others, sadly.
Still, you can book online or call them directly. We can attest that they are very responsive to concerns and questions.
Pros
- Has livestream of classes
- Wide range of classes (even has aqua Pilates)
- Accessible locations with free valet parking
Cons
- Booking system on site is a bit clunky
- Inconsistent operating hours
Student Reviews:
Instructors are very friendly, and adjust exercises according to client’s ability level
Hi. I love my experience with Yoga House. It made me look forward to the sessions. Instructors are very friendly, and adjust exercises according to client’s ability level. Loved sessions with Mrs. Oho and Mrs. Anna. Thanks a lot for the great experience and service. -Дарья Сходцева
The teachers are all very skillful in their approach to teaching
I have been a committed Classpass member for several years, and once I visited Yoga house I converted to Yoga house directly as I enjoyed it so much. The staff are just wonderful at Yoga House, always so welcoming and friendly. The teachers are all very skillful in their approach to teaching but also all have their own styles of teaching and touches to the classes which I find is a nice way to mix up the classes when going regularly. The studio space is very calming and airy. They offer a good variety of classes too and great timings. One recommendation I would love is if there Was Kundalini yoga classes, and it’s hard to find these classes in the marina. Can not recommend it enough, absolutely love it there! -Sophie Chessher

Jeanique Pilates Boutique is one of the Pilates studios on our list that’s worth considering – they provide Zoom live classes as well as in-studio classes! One of their specialties is their adherence to the Classical Pilates Method.
Upon enquiry, we like that clients would be studied first to see how their body moves. This way, the instructor would be able to personalize the lessons for each student.
Before enrolling in their group classes, new students must first complete 2 private lessons. While this may add to your expenses, we believe taking some classes on your own prepares you physically and mentally to be consistent with Pilates.
Following that, it’s fantastic that each class will only have 4 students. For us, this is ideal for building independence while remaining a part of a group.
But note that they’re strict with their financial policies since all packages are non-refundable and non-transferable. All bookings and cancellations should also be made 24 hours in advance.
If you’d like to try it, Jeanique Pilates Boutique is open all week. There’s also free parking nearby for your convenience.
Lastly, they told us it’s best to give them a call before dropping by so they can better accommodate your visit.
Pros
- Offers Zoom live and in-studio classes
- Personalized Pilates moves per student
- Hands-on and detail-oriented instructor
- Available free parking
Cons
- Prerequisite of 2 private classes before joining a group
- Strict payment rules

The training is so in-depth
Jeanique is an amazing teacher. I first came to jeanique when I was in a lot of pain after having back surgery. She changed my life. After 8 months I was blown away with what my body can do through the classical work of pilates that jeanique trained me to become a teacher. The training is so in depth and you filled with so much knowledge and jeanique is there every step of the way. ❤️ -Michelle Ribbens

They not only offer Pilates and yoga classes. They also have natural therapy that includes nutrition services, manual therapy, mental wellness programs, and even an in-house cafe.
For Pilates, they offer three kinds: mat Pilates, reformer Pilates, and Pilates circuit classes. For all of these they offer classes for different levels.
In The Hundred Wellness Centre, there are four levels for classes: beginner, beginner/intermediate, intermediate, and advanced. For the last three, there will be instructor evaluation before you take classes under those levels.
We like how they’re very structured, so you really get to find a class where you belong.

Student Reviews:
They work genuinely, from the heart
I love The Hundred! They have the most amazing employees that work genuinely from the heart and it’s felt through the whole centre. Every detail is left unturned and business is done in an honest authentic manner from reception staff to the Pilates teachers & doctors!! Keep it up. -Hamda Al Saleh
My 15 years of back pains are now just a bad souvenir
The most important to me is the quality of the teacher and its lesson rather than the place itself. The Hundred Wellness Center has the two. This peaceful place is an invitation for the well being. I was looking for a Pilates course and I finally found a truly impressive master who listened first to my needs. My 15 years of back pains are now just a bad souvenir. So, Walid, thanks a lot for everything. -Massimo Cangini
