The Dubai Kennels & Cattery or DKC, has been caring for all sorts of pets and animals for more than thirty years. They are able to make use of their experience to provide a safe space for animals entrusted to their care.
They offer pet boarding services for different kinds of animals, including cats and dogs. We think the rooms are quite spacious, allowing the animals plenty of space to roam and exercise.
We also appreciate the air conditioned enclosures as it can really help with the extreme weather they might encounter while we are travelling away.
Indeed, the service does feel like a pet hotel of sorts. We found the service to be quite good as well, with a veterinary clinic in close proximity in order to respond fast to any animals that might require care.
If there is one thing we can nitpick, we think calling over the phone can be a bit slow at times. Fortunately, the hotel does compensate by providing timely updates via email complete with photo documentation for our peace of mind.
The service can be quite expensive in comparison to other places but it is quite reasonable once the quality of the facilities are factored in. Additionally, the hotel does offer discounts for repeat customers as well.
So if you’re going on a long trip and need a place that will look after your feline, then DKC should be a good place to start.

They have built the nursery in a quiet, comfortable location, making it an appealing place to stay for more introverted cats. We think it’s quite a peaceful setting which does wonders for the owner’s peace of mind as well.
PoshPaws have 70 large units for cat families and single cat boarding. They have even provided a big cat tree to sleep in and climb as well as an assortment of toys and blankets.
In our opinion, this also gives more energetic pets things to do even in a more relaxed and subdued environment.
They also have a good practice of mixing up wet and dry foods for the animals, ensuring that they are able to get good nutrition. Feline guests also get access to a basic grooming service, with a professional service available upon request.
Of course, the large play areas do mean that it can be a little crowded during peak seasons. Definitely not as crowded as other places but it is enough to be noticeable in our opinion.
This does mean the price can be a bit expensive per night though it’s not the highest we’ve seen. Once we factor in the diet, facility, and basic grooming though, the cost is quite reasonable in our opinion.
We definitely recommend giving PoshPaws a try when it comes to cat boarding services.

Petsville is a Dubai-based one-stop shop for dog boarding, day care, grooming, and even some veterinary services in Dubai. However, they also have facilities to accommodate cat boarding as well.
The facility which they dubbed ‘Catsville’ is a very comfortable cat boarding facility. They feature a good selection of wide play areas and towers, climbing frames, and customised feeding.
Like with ‘Kitty Village’, we think this is a good concept as it allows the cats to explore and entertain all of their climbing instincts, helping them stay entertained.
There’s adequate spacing and clean facilities despite the volume of pets occupying the building as well which we find to be quite impressive. Well-trained handlers also keep an eye on the cats, ensuring that their needs are taken care of.
Of course, it’s no surprise that Petsville is often fully booked. Just trying to get an appointment done over the phone can be quite challenging in our opinion.
This also means that updates are not as fast as with other facilities. Of course, we are able to get them but the volume of animals occupying the space can make it hard to spot your pet at times.
Still, the facilities are kept clean and the rates are still quite affordable. We definitely recommend giving Petsville a try for your cat boarding needs.
