Holi Festival was a rainbow of fun, and you should experience it too! Here are 8 spots I found in Dubai to celebrate in style.

While scrolling through my social media one lazy afternoon, I couldn’t help but stop and stare at the stunning photos of Holi celebrations—people splashing vibrant colors on each other, laughter echoing through the air.

I learned that Holi is the Festival of Colors, celebrating the arrival of spring and the triumph of good over evil—a time when everyone comes together to spread happiness and love.

Feeling inspired, I decided to experience this magical festival for myself. After diving into the festivities here in Dubai, I discovered amazing spots to celebrate. Trust me, you’ll want to keep reading to find out where you can join this colorful adventure!

1. AKS Color Carnival

Address: Al Ain Road, E66, Dubai

The AKS Color Carnival, held at the Sevens Stadium every March, has become a huge deal, drawing thousands of people annually. Last year, over 10,000 people showed up, showing how much Holi celebrations are catching on in the UAE.

This carnival is seriously special – there’s so much to do! You’ve got live music, dance competitions, and my favorite, the color throws. Picture this: everyone in white clothes waits to be drenched in vibrant colors while music blasts.

The best part is that it’s all about connecting with others. It’s a place where you can make new connections, whether through sharing a laugh or even having an impromptu dance-off.

2. Atrangi Holi Fest

The Atrangi Holi Fest is a lively event featuring ten artists and 10 hours of nonstop fun. It attracts thousands each year, and I can see why.

When you enter the Atrangi Holi Fest, you’re entering a world of vibrant colors and excitement. There are colorful powder stations where you can throw vivid hues at your friends and even strangers!

Plus, there’s live music to keep the energy high and plenty of food stalls offering traditional Indian snacks and contemporary treats to fuel you for all the dancing and celebrating.

At Taj Jumeirah Lakes Towers, the festivities started with a Color Yoga session. We did yoga surrounded by a kaleidoscope of colors, which was invigorating. We even did color visualization meditation to enhance the mind-body connection.

The Shamiana restaurant had an awesome Holi brunch with traditional Indian dishes and festive mocktails. After yoga, there was even a sound healing session to help everyone unwind and reflect on the day’s festivities.

The ambiance at Taj Jumeirah Lakes Towers was just perfect—festive and relaxing at the same time. The decor was vibrant and inviting, and the colorful decorations and lively music really set the celebratory mood.

I love the blend of wellness and culinary delight – it’s such a unique experience that truly captures the spirit of Holi. Oh, and you have to try their complimentary than-dai – it’s this amazing milk-based drink flavored with nuts and spices.

But wait, there’s more! One of my favorite things is the water balloon fights. I loved dodging splashes and throwing balloons filled with colored water. And they even have awesome photo booths where you can capture these fun moments.

They have safe spaces for kids to play, so it’s perfect for families, too. For us young adults, the music and the dancing just make it the perfect place to hang out.

The specially curated brunch, featuring traditional Indian dishes, was comforting and heartwarming. The Saffron Thandai and the kanji gol gappa were refreshing and delicious!

The best part is that the celebration was super inclusive, with prices of around AED 250 per person, which made it accessible for everyone to join in the festivities. Last year’s brunch drew a crowd, with over 200 attendees reveling in the joyous atmosphere.

It’s so refreshing, and they serve it all day long. And you’ve got to try the gujiya sweets; they offer a package of two for just AED 15. The restaurant not only serves authentic Indian cuisine but also creates an inviting space filled with festive decorations.

One of the best parts is the playful throwing of colored powders—it’s so much fun! The whole place is buzzing with laughter and music, and it’s easy to connect with others while enjoying flavorful dishes like spicy chaat and aromatic biryanis.
