Put a finger down if you’ve ever been broke. If you have, then that’s it. That’s the only qualifier you need to read this blog. But just because you’re a little low on dirhams doesn’t mean you can’t have any fun until your next payday.
Whether you live paycheck-to-paycheck or not, it still helps to know what to do in Dubai under AED 50—you never know when you’ll need to be extra smart with money!
And to make sure I’ve got the best list, I also asked some financially savvy friends to help me. Here are some of our favorite things to do in Dubai without breaking the bank!

We adore its tropical rainforest theme—a nice change from the Dubai desert! And apart from the glowing green and purple lights, we also love the backdrops, animals, and sounds. For us, every putt is a mystery, which can challenge the kids just right.
Of course, the parents should be with their children as they learn to play the fun 9-hole game. And who knows? The little ones might grow up to be your next expert golfing buddy!

If you’re familiar with the holy book, we bet you can see some plants mentioned here! Otherwise, you can just bask in the lush greenery of the Islamic garden, the desert garden, and the Andalusia-inspired (from Spain) space.
Should you be willing to shell out AED 5 to enter the Cave of Miracles, you’ll find interactive tech showcasing the Quran’s events. Another one is the Glass House, where we love to see rare plants grow in very specific environments.

Because of its spacious, grassy area, we feel it’s among the best places to mentally recover from a chaotic week (or month). You can enjoy a nice afternoon under the shades and enjoy your favorite sandwiches and tea while reading a good book.
We also recommend going for a nice jog around the track or renting a bike for a few dirhams to regain those endorphins. Alternatively, there are basketball and tennis courts you may use—you might even make some new pals!
Pro tip:
Keep an eye out for squirrels at Safa Park because, at some point, you might see around 20! While they’re cute from a distance, it’s best to be aware of them so they won’t steal stuff like peanuts and berries.

Are you a history buff with a limited budget? Dubai Museum (a.k.a. the Al Fahidi Fort) is housed in an 18th-century fort—among the oldest constructions in the city! We believe travelers would enjoy learning about the Islamic and Emirati cultures here.
We find the experience here so fascinating. Guests can see various provincial and urban lives here depicted in different places like the desert, beachfront, mountains, and farms. For us, the quality videos and sounds also make it super immersive!
