Our All-Time Favorite Things to Do in Dubai during Eid Al-Fitr
Eid al-Fitr is a big celebration for Muslims after Ramadan. We didn’t eat or drink during the daylight hours then, so I think it just makes sense for us to be thrilled—especially when we can now dive into some good food and fun.
But the problem is, my family is way too energetic to only dine and drive home. And as the eldest, it became my job to think about the most exciting activities to make each Eid memorable. This is too much pressure sometimes, and I can be this close to snapping.
So to make things easier, I’ve listed down every breaking-of-the-fast activity my family and I have done and enjoyed. Check them out and have a happy and blessed Eid, yourself!
What can I do in Dubai to celebrate Eid al-Fitr?
There are many things you can do in Dubai to celebrate Eid al-Fitr! This includes seeing a laser show at Global Village, going to a theme park, playing at a snow resort, and relishing in a celebratory buffet.

We love that this open-air park hosts fireworks displays too! This happens every day from Wednesday to Sunday. On top of that, we’re also in awe of the unique seasonal attractions like the fire and laser show at Dragon Lake and Mini World.

At the entrance of Global Village, you can hire little cars for children, as well as mobility scooters and wheelchairs for people with disabilities. Take advantage of this assistance to make the most of every attraction here!

Craving chocolates after Ramadan? Those who want a sweet and serene time can get lavish afternoon tea from Godiva at Rixos Premium Dubai. There’s also live music here that we think complements the nice sea views.
We recommend indulging in this cafe’s gourmet Belgian chocolates, truffles, and ice cream. But if you’re not into chocolates, we reckon you might like the frost cake with strawberries with passionfruit tea or coffee.
Pro tip:
Worried about enjoying way too many sweets? Don’t fret! Godiva lists the calories of their desserts on the menu, so you can choose which ones make you feel great about indulging.

You might have heard about a morning brunch, but not everyone has tried it in the evening. Matagi is a Dubai restaurant that offers modern Japanese cuisine, and it opens in the late afternoon—perfect to break your fast at Eid al-Fitr!
We say go with a hot starter like prawn gyoza or a cold spicy tuna on crispy rice for a slight kick. The lamb chops are also amazing for us, but note that there are many sauces here, like gochujang and wasabi chimichurri—so best to prepare your palates!
Pro tip:
Want to snap some Insta-worthy photos and vids at Matagi? We recommend arriving earlier and sitting near the open kitchen. Here, you would clearly see the chefs in their element!

What better way to appreciate the whole city than to see magnificent views at Ginger Moon? This is a restaurant at W Dubai-Mina Seyahi, a posh 5-star hotel for you and your date. It also offers a pool that looks out over the harbor and across Bluewaters.
If you get hungry while enjoying the view and twinkling lights at night, we suggest ordering calamari, sushi, or pizza. There’s also a wide variety of tequila and mezcal here, which we noticed are a tad cheaper than those in other places.
Pro tip:
If you have any food preferences, we recommend giving Ginger Moon a call beforehand. We heard that some food items and beverages here usually run out early due to limited supply.

Many families stay home during Ramadan, so we believe the kids will have a blast at Ski Dubai when it ends. This ski resort often provides an Eid pass offering unlimited rides, access to the Snow Bullet, and free hot chocolate!
You may also try skiing and snowboarding here, and you can meet the penguins too! For us, this is a wonderful reward for the kids for behaving well during the holy month.
Pro tip:
Before you explore Ski Dubai, we recommend chatting with the staff about all the exact inclusions of your ticket. This way, you’ll know early on if you need to pay extra for an activity or experience you want and avoid any hassle later.

MiniBounce is another place where you can take the little ones to let loose and have fun. It features ball pits, netted soft play structures, and a trampoline section catering to small feet. This is open to kids from when they can walk up to 6 years old.
And when you’re feeling peckish, just head to the cafe. We like the coffee and butter croissant, as well as the BBQ chicken pizza and ice cream here. For us, this is a cute space where the parents and guardians can also relax while supervising the kids.
Pro tip:
We suggest bringing protective caps for your children, especially when it gets crowded. MiniBounce unfortunately doesn’t provide these yet, so safety first!

Can’t decide which theme park to go to? Real Madrid World occasionally offers a 2-in-1 ticket during Eid! This can also give you access to either LEGOLAND Dubai, LEGOLAND Waterpark, or Motiongate Dubai—a great deal, in our opinion!
We say make the most of this experience with as many rides and attractions as your body can handle. You can start with Real Madrid World’s football games, spots, and stores, where hardcore fans are in for a thrilling immersion!
After that, just have fun exploring various LEGO collections, making a splash at a waterpark slide, or feeling like a Hollywood star at Motiongate. The way we see it, you’re going to have a fun-filled day, whichever you choose.
Pro tip:
We encourage buying tickets online the day before at Real Madrid World since the prices on site will likely be higher. You might also miss the 2-in-1 deal!

Are you one of those people who can’t imagine themselves camping anywhere? No worries! Glamping at Hatta is an option you can take, so you can still enjoy the immersion of camping—while still being comfy.
Hatta is a lovely mountain town just a 2-hour drive from Dubai city. Visitors during Eid al-Fitr might also get a 30% discount on various activities here, like ziplining, axe-throwing, and wall-climbing, so we recommend grabbing this deal to save more.
Pro tips:
For us, the best time to try glamping at Hatta is from December to April because of the cooler and more pleasant weather.
Bring some sleeping earplugs too! This is in case you’re easily bothered by noises coming from the outside of your dome.
Indulge in a Celebratory Buffet

Fees:
- AED 150 – 200 per person
Many Eid al-Fitr celebrations wouldn’t be complete without an indulgent feast. Village Bistro also offers a live BBQ, buffet, and live band, which we think perfectly fits the post-Ramadan vibes.
There are plenty of international options here, but we especially loved the grilled salmon, beef tacos, and prawns. We also loved the ice cream station, which is also a hit with the kids!
Pro tip:
Are the little ones easily bored and grumpy? Take advantage of Village Bistro’s kids’ painting activity to keep the little ones entertained and happy.
Grab Yourself a Gold Cappuccino

Fees:
- AED 250 – AED 300
To make your Eid al-Fitr mornings golden, Sahn Eddar is known for offering gold cappuccinos at Burj Al Arab—one of the world’s most iconic hotels! This spot also has an Arabic band, harpist, and string quartet to keep things lively.
We encourage visitors to try the mocktails made with camel’s milk—if you haven’t tried this one, we can describe it as just a bit tangier than cow’s milk. For us, the chocolate cake with the edible gold pairs well with the coffee too!
Pro tip:
Advanced bookings are required to enter Burj Al Arab, so make sure you don’t forget! The security doesn’t allow walk-ins here, so better be safe than sorry.
