I love The Spaniel for several reasons – their chic brasserie vibe, their delicious food, and their amazing views facing Ain Dubai. The restaurant also serves one of the best New Year’s Eve dinners in Dubai with its “The Spaniel Mystery Night” celebration.
The Spaniel’s six-course tasting menu is inspired by all the culinary events in Agatha Christie’s stories, so you’d love it here if you’re a fan. The restaurant even goes as far as transforming its space to look like scenes from these novels.
Head Chef Will Stanyer and his team take you on a unique culinary adventure with dishes like beef and porcini tea with sausage roll, beef Wellington, and Atlantic cod fillet.
With a minimum spend of AED1,000, you’ll have all night to enjoy the food and beverages in the restaurant before watching the fireworks with Ain Dubai in the background.

Every now and then, I want to try something different, and I instantly fell in love with Basque cuisine. So when I heard that Jara by Martin Berasategui serves New Year’s Eve dinner in Dubai, I knew I had to book a table.
Chef Berasategui curates a special four-course New Year menu using the best ingredients from the Iberian Peninsula.
Being the world’s third best chef and the only Spanish chef with the most Michelin stars in Spain, you can expect nothing but the best from this restaurant. They also have a live band to keep you entertained while you eat and wait for the countdown.
For AED6,000 for front row seating and bubbly included, a dinner at Jara may be on the more expensive side. But I promise you every dirham you pay will be worth it.

Apricot is one of my favourite little secret restaurants because it’s very near downtown but still discreet enough that not a lot of tourists know about it.
Located in Al Manzil, Apricot offers a perfect vantage point for the Burj Khalifa fireworks. But it’s still not as crowded as the other restaurants, making it a great place for New Year’s Eve dinner in Dubai.
A delicious four-course dinner will be served on the open-air terrace, so you can enjoy the view of the fireworks while enjoying your meal. You even have the option to book a table at the front or back terrace to secure the best seats for the New Year’s show.
Pro tip:
On a regular day, Apricot is one of the best European eateries in town to enjoy a massive all-day breakfast. I especially love their massive Bodrum Breakfast Board that can feed the entire family.
