Creative Minds is one of the most well-known arts and crafts stores in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi. They have a branch operating in both Al Barsha and Al Wasl here in the city.

The stores are quite big so we recommend setting aside a good chunk of your time to browse through the selection. We think it’s best to come in early too so you don’t have to worry as much about parking space.
As far as drafting supplies go, it’s basically a feast for the eyes, in our opinion. You get a wide assortment of compasses, triangles, technical pens and pencils, and plenty of tracing paper to use.
Of course, we’ve run into some snags during our time shopping for supplies in the store. Some of the items no longer have their price tags, requiring us to call for assistance a number of times.
Fortunately, their staff is very helpful and we were able to help us find the right price as well as any other items on our shopping list in practically no time. Still, we think they could use some improvement on this front.

They even have items to work with such as sculpture, pottery, and silk in case you want to tag along with other friends in other creative fields. It’s basically a one-stop shop despite the smaller floor space in the store compared to other places.
We do want to point out that prices can be quite high here at Creativa compared to other shops. If you have the time, you may want to browse around other stores too if budget is a concern.

One thing that sets them apart from other places we’ve visited is that they also dealt with larger machines and office supplies. Printers, labelers, cutters, laminating machines, they have it all here too.
The store is nice and well-organized, making it easy to find the things we’re looking for. Additionally, the staff is quite nice and friendly, and they’re very attentive to our inquiries while at the store.
We did find it hard to locate the store during our first visit however. Once you do know where it is though, you shouldn’t have too much of a hard time finding it again in case you need more supplies.
Additionally, we think they could be a bit more attentive to phone calls too. Some customers reported waiting a good while before getting someone on the other end.
