Growing up, Sundays were all about gathering with my family for a traditional roast dinner. Now that I’m in Dubai, I’ve kept that cherished tradition alive, even introducing my friends to the joys of a hearty roast.

Bread Street Kitchen is Gordon Ramsay’s place at Atlantis The Palm. They do this incredible family-friendly Sunday roast from noon to 5 PM. You get to choose between dry-aged beef, roast lamb, corn-fed chicken, or even a vegetable in Wellington. 

Bread Street Kitchen combines casual elegance with an industrial warehouse feel. Warm lighting adds a cozy touch, perfect for gatherings with friends or even a chill date night. 

They also have an outdoor terrace for al fresco dining. Imagine sipping cocktails under the stars while enjoying good food. Kicking back, relaxing, and watching people is a fun atmosphere.

4. The Croft

The Croft does a fantastic Sunday roast that hits the spot. You can pick from chicken, beef, lamb, or even salmon—whatever you’re in the mood for that day. You can upgrade to have free-flowing drinks, which is a pretty sweet deal if you plan to linger.

The decor, with its lovely warm blue tones and rustic wooden touches, makes you want to sit back and enjoy your meal. You can sit inside or out on the terrace, which offers a gorgeous view of the Marina. 

They have a well-stocked selection of house beverages, and if you’re feeling festive, you can upgrade to enjoy two hours of free-flowing drinks—just think of the good times you can have there!

5. Dhow & Anchor

Dhow & Anchor, or D&A for short, is a modern British gastropub with over twenty years of history that has become a favorite of locals and expats. I love how they do this amazing weekend roast every Saturday and Sunday. 

What I love most about D&A is that it beautifully captures the essence of contemporary British cuisine. You can’t go wrong with their classic English roast. There’s something so comforting about digging into succulent roast beef or flavorful lamb.

It’s the perfect blend of casual elegance and a lively atmosphere. The decor is bright and airy, and the views of the Burj Al Arab are stunning. In addition, they offer some other great offerings, like unlimited wings during happy hour. 

6. The Eloquent Elephant

The Eloquent Elephant at the Taj Dubai is a charming little gastropub serving British cuisine with a local twist. Every Saturday and Sunday, they serve an amazing Great British Weekend roast. The roast costs Dhs119, but trust me, it’s worth every penny. 

It’s cozy and sophisticated, with rich wood tones and comfy seats that invite relaxation. The restaurant also has an inviting terrace for al fresco dining, which is especially nice when the weather is good. 

They even have live sports screenings and a full bar, so you can kick back and enjoy yourself whether you’re there for a casual lunch with a friend or a lively dinner with the whole family. 

7. The Duck Hook

The Duck Hook is located in the Dubai Hills Golf Club. I have tried their perfectly cooked roast beef prime rib, served with classic Yorkshire puddings and a zesty horseradish sauce that elevates everything. 

If you’re hungry, you can’t miss their “roast with the most.” It’s a feast featuring a little bit of everything: beef, chicken, and veal sausages. Those portions are generous, and enjoying them with a view of the lush golf course makes it even better.

What I love about The Duck Hook is its cozy vibe. It feels like stepping into a lovely country pub with a modern twist. The decor is quirky and fun, and the atmosphere is inviting. Plus, there’s a spacious terrace where you can soak in the views.

8. The Rose & Crown

The Rose & Crown is a classic British pub. They have a pool table, a dartboard, and tons of big screens to catch up on the latest games. They’ve got all the classics: Fish & Chips, Chicken Tikka Masala, and the Sunday roasts.

For AED 90, you can enjoy a roast dinner featuring beef, chicken, lamb, or a tasty vegetarian option. It’s hearty, warm, and just feels like home. The ViThis Victorian fireplace and the porcelain tiles are charming. 

The pub also starts with special events, like their Tower & Platter deal on Wednesdays. You get to share a beer tower with friends while munching on delicious platters—sounds like a good time, right?

9. Fibber Magee’s

Have you ever been to a place that feels like home, even if you’re halfway across the world? That’s the vibe at Fibber Magee’s, this fantastic Irish pub rn Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai. 

The menu includes all the traditional Irish and English dishes you’d expect, and let me tell you, their roast beef is something else! It’s comfort food that warms your soul. 

The place has charming decor, rustic wood, and brass accents. Irish memorabilia surrounds it, transporting you straight to the Emerald Isle. With seating for about 150 people, it’s perfect for catching up with friends or making new ones.

10. Reform Social & Grill

Reform Social & Grill is a British pub with a modern twist. It has earned some serious accolades, such as the Best Breakfast Award in 2018 and the Casual Dining Team of the Year award in 2019. 

When I go, I can’t help but dive into one of their delicious roast dinners. I’m talking about Angus beef and succulent roast chicken, or sometimes I even go for the combo. Each plate is heaped with freshly roasted veggies, Yorkshire pudding, and plenty of gravy.

If you like drinks, their bar area has a fantastic selection. I love the outdoor seating on sunny Dubai days; it’s perfect for chilling out. They even have a barbershop on-site if you want a quick trim while sipping your drink.
