All You Need to Know about the Dubai Pass: Your Golden Ticket to Enjoying Dubai
Dubai is the city of superlatives. It’s always described as the most luxurious, the most advanced, the flashiest, the richest. It even houses the tallest building in the world which pierces the literal sky. It’s where gold-plated steaks exist. Just hearing everything about Dubai makes you want to book a flight and see it all for yourself.
But to actually enjoy the city, you have to know where to go and what to do, especially when there are so many attractions fighting for your attention. The planning can be excruciating and overwhelming (and expensive).
Thankfully, a golden ticket exists. Well, not exactly a golden ticket, but close: The Dubai Pass. Your all-access card to enjoy Dubai, bundled neatly to make the experience easy and affordable.
What is the Dubai Pass, really?
Between you and me, I like to think of it as an all-you-can-eat buffet. Or a magical key that opens all the doors. But the technical description is that it’s a pre-paid pass created by Dubai’s tourism in partnership with iVenture.
You buy it once, and then you can use it in multiple Dubai attractions, tours, and experiences. So instead of documenting all tickets and receipts and QR codes, all you have to do is present the card, like a magic key!
Options and Costs
When I first learned about the Dubai Pass, I mildly panicked because of the variety of options. Once I broke them down, it made sense that it’s split into types to cater to the tourist. Here are the options:
The Select Pass

The Flexi Pass

The Unlimited Pass

The Theme Park Pass

The Stopover Pass

How to Avail
Like most things in Dubai, this is easy to avail. I didn’t have any issue at all (aside from deciding which pass to get). Here’s how it works:
1. Choose Your Pass
Decide which one matches your energy (and financial) level. In my case, I chose the Flexi Pass.
2. Buy Online
There’s no way to buy the pass from a physical store. It’s strictly online. You can purchase through:
- The official Dubai Pass website
- Partner sites like iVenture, Klook, GetYourGuide, or Tiqets.
- Pay with your card through the online channel.
TIP: Compare prices across platforms. Sometimes there are app promo codes. Maybe even check with travel agencies in case they offer bundles with hotel stays.
3. Receive Your QR Code
Within minutes of payment, you will receive a QR code. You can save it on your phone or print it, then just show it in the attractions!
4. Activate
Your pass doesn’t automatically update when you pay for it. It will only activate once you scan it at your very first attraction. Take note of the validity of each pass. (Another Tip: For my whole trip, I used the QR photo as my screensaver so I don’t have to dig into my album to find it.)
