We Made a Guide to Barsha Heights So You Can Explore Beyond the Never-Ending Roundabouts

Barsha Heights is known for its many roundabouts, but there’s much more to explore here. I spent time discovering the best spots to eat, relax, and have fun. This simple guide will help you enjoy Barsha Heights without getting lost!

What is Barsha Heights known for?

Barsha Heights, once called Tecom, is a busy neighborhood in Dubai that combines residential, commercial, and leisure spaces. Thanks to its central location, it’s a popular neighborhood for young professionals, expats, and families.

It’s part of the much larger Al Barsha district, and is well connected by major roads and the Dubai Metro. The area has many tall apartment buildings, mid-range hotels, small shops, cafés, and shared workspaces.

This neighborhood is also close to major business hubs like Dubai Internet City, Media City, and Knowledge Village. This makes it great for people who work in tech, media, or education. Even though it’s a busy place, the streets are calm, and there are sidewalks, trees, and local food spots that give it a friendly feel.

How to Get Around

  • Trains: The Dubai Internet City Metro Station is the nearest metro stop to Barsha Heights. It’s about a 12-minute walk away. This station is on the Red Line, which connects to important places like Downtown Dubai, Dubai Marina, and Dubai International Airport.
  • Buses: Barsha Heights is well-connected by several bus routes, making it easy to travel to and from the area.
  • The F31 bus runs between The Meadows and Dubai Internet City Metro Station, passing through Barsha Heights. The 84 bus goes from Al Khail Gate to Jumeirah Beach Residence Station 2, with stops in Barsha Heights.
  • The X28 bus connects Lulu Village to Dubai Internet City, also stopping in Barsha Heights. The 88 bus travels between Deira City Center Bus Station and Dubai Internet City Metro Station, serving Barsha Heights along the way.
  • The 93 bus operates from Ghubaiba Bus Station to Al Barsha Heights, directly serving the area. Additionally, the F35 bus route links Barsha Heights to nearby places like The Greens and Mall of the Emirates.
  • Taxis: Taxis are easy to find in Barsha Heights and are a convenient way to get around. You can hail a taxi on the street, book one using the Dubai Taxi Corporation’s Smart App. These taxis are metered and follow government-set rates.
  • For more comfort or special needs, you can book private taxi services like City Airport Taxis or MyTransfers. They offer door-to-door service, airport pickups, and options like child seats or larger vehicles for groups.
  • Car: If you like to drive, you can rent a car in Barsha Heights. There are many rental companies nearby, like Ace, Payless, and Fast Rent A Car.
