Woke Up Hungry and Found Myself Running to One of These Sunday Brunch Spots in Dubai
I love brunch, period. I love the idea of eating my heart out and stuffing my face with comfort food that I try not to consume during the week since I’m on a diet.
This is why I always look forward to the weekend where I can enjoy a good Saturday brunch and treat myself again to a great Sunday brunch in Dubai the next day.
Of course, we’re not gatekeeping my favourite spots in town to enjoy some good brunch food on a Sunday, so here it is.

While I love to be rough and rugged with my breakfasts, there are days when I want to be a little fancy. And for those days, I head up to Alici in Bluewaters Island for an upscale breakfast experience.
Let me tell you, this Sunday brunch spot isn’t for those “morning after” eating like a hungry bear to cure a hangover.
With a decadent decor and a well-heeled crowd, I’d like to call Alici your Sunday brunch for grownups. And by that I mean 13 dishes that will make you feel like you’re in Amalfi sipping on cocktails and eating fresh Dibba Bay oysters to start your meal.
Then you have one dish after the other being delivered to your table, all of which you’d want to devour. So believe me, you’ll be stuffed after eating 13 delicious dishes.
Pro tip:
Alici’s brunch isn’t the cheapest with packages starting from AED395 for non-alcoholic drinks and up to AED595 for Italian bubbles. So if you’re planning to eat here, make sure to allocate a budget beforehand.

Stayed in bed for too long? Don’t worry because you can still enjoy some very late afternoon Sunday brunch in Dubai at Seven Sisters.
Aptly named the Sundown Brunch, this special menu doesn’t involve any eggs or bacon. What you’re getting instead is a fusion of Mediterranean and Asian cuisines.
Starters include beef pepperoni and Hokkaido corn while there’s only one main course, the Seven Sisters Kushiyaki Platter, that includes grilled meats and vegetables.
And if you plan to take Sunday brunching until the early morning, go for their premium package that already includes your choice of cocktails, sparkling, beer or spirits.
Pro tip:
Being one of the most popular Sunday brunch spots in Dubai, you can expect a packed house at Seven Sisters. So if you don’t want to miss out on the fun, book a table at least a week before.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I can’t go a week without eating Indian food. And if I crave it on a Sunday afternoon, I always run to Carnival by Tresind for a hearty Sunday brunch in Dubai.
For starters, I love that Carnival has a vegetarian version of all its non-vegetarian offerings. So if I have vegetarian friends over, I can take them to Carnival and I know they’ll enjoy the food as much as I do.
In fact, I try to switch things up every now and then and try their vegetarian dishes and to my surprise, some of them actually taste better than their non-vegetarian varieties.
I highly recommend their five pepper prawns and crab tempura with coconut sambal. And you should never leave without trying their gajak with caramelised peanuts and a chocolate brownie.
Pro tip:
Do you love surprises when it comes to your drinks? Tel the waiter that you’d like the “On the Spot” cocktail and let the bartender surprise you.
