What is Hatta Wadi Hub?

Hatta Wadi Hub is an outdoor oasis in Hatta, a town that’s located more than 100 kilometers away from Dubai’s city center. This space is designed for every type of adventurer and thrill seeker with activities that let you enjoy the best of what being outdoors has to offer.

Hatta Wadi Hub is even home to the largest inflatable obstacle course in the world covering more than 500 meters of challenges that will surely keep your adrenaline pumping.

There’s even a hidden waterfall, a massive slide, the first gell ball facility in the city and one of the best trails in Dubai to give you the adventure of a lifetime.

Best Time to Go

Being an outdoor recreational facility, it’s best to visit Hatta Wadi Hub during the winter months when temperatures are lower and the weather is more favorable for spending time outdoors.

Hatta Wadi Hub may also be closed on some days between the months of May and September due to the extreme heat.

Things to Know

An epic adventure at Hatta Wadi Hub starts with a few of these essential tips:

  • Hatta Wadi Hub is open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day. Since it’s a huge space, it’s best to allocate a day into exploring it.
  • It’s a family-friendly destination with activities suitable for children aged 6 and above. However, more challenging ones require guests to be at least 16 years old.
  • Hatta Wadi Hub has a rocky terrain, so make sure that you wear comfortable clothing and footwear.

How to Get Around

Trains: There are no direct train lines going to Hatta. 
Buses: Take the E16 bus at the Sabkha Bus Station that stops at the Hatta Bus Station. From here, you can take a taxi going to Hatta Wadi Hub.
Taxis: Taking a taxi is still the easiest way to get to Hatta Wadi Hub. If you’re coming from the city, the starting rate is AED 25 for a regular taxi with an additional AED 1.75 per kilometer thereafter.
Car service: If you have the budget and you want to travel privately, you can always book a private car service with your travel agent.

What to Do in Hatta Wadi Hub

Take on the Hatta Hiking Track

One of the highlights of visiting Hatta Wadi Hub has to be its hiking trail, a 32.6-kilometer challenge that will surely test your endurance and resilience in conquering the outdoors.

The Hatta hiking track has different routes depending on your skill level, but all of them guarantee the best time, especially since you’re surrounded by nature. 

Go Mountain Biking

If you’d rather be on wheels while exploring Hatta Wadi Hub, you need to try mountain biking at the park’s 52-kilometer cross country trail.

Whether you’re a leisure biker or a competitive pro, there’s a trail for you at the park with each trail divided into different colors indicating different levels of difficulty.

The best part is, you get to go up and down these trails while also enjoying the most beautiful views of the mountains and the nature surrounding you.

Paddle Your Way on a Kayak Around the Lake 

With the beautiful Hatta Dam, you can’t miss kayaking while you’re in Hatta Wadi Hub where you get to paddle peacefully through the waters with the mountains surrounding you.

The park has single and double kayaks, but you can also rent water bikes and pedal boats that will allow you to explore the massive Hatta Dam.

But if you have the budget, you can also rent a donut boat to go around the lake or book a tour boat with a driver.

Take On the Inflatable Obstacle Course

Another highlight of the Hatta Wadi Hub is the country’s largest inflatable obstacle course for the entire family to enjoy.

The obstacle course is spread over 500 meters of space with all types of obstacles that will surely test your wit, endurance and persistence until you get to the finish line.

We tried it ourselves and loved every bit of the experience! Located right within the adventure park are 13 trailers where you can enjoy glamping under the stars while doing barbeque.

And when you wake up, you get treated to the most majestic views of the Hajar mountains to kickstart your day.

Hatta Caravan Park is a luxury camping ground where you can rent static luxury caravans that have all the amenities you love in a hotel but also the comforts of being near nature.

Here, you can choose from a standard caravan to a more luxurious one with your own outdoor terrace.

Hatta Caravan Park also has designated barbeque areas where you can grill your meats aside from cooking in your own kitchen back at the caravan.

Whether you’re looking for a place to kickstart your day with a good breakfast or somewhere to eat after a tiring day at Hatta Wadi Hub, you’ll surely love Al Hajarain Restaurant.

We dropped by for breakfast and loved their fresh fruit platter and traditional Arabic breakfast.

But we also heard from the grapevine that their salmon, lamb rack and veal osso bucco are divine.

What to Expect from Weather in Hatta Wadi Hub

Winter: Hatta enjoys cooler winter months as compared to the city, which is why the months between December and March makes for the perfect time to visit Hatta Wadi Hub.

Summer: Summers are hot in Hatta, especially between June and September. During this time, it’s not as ideal to stay long outdoors.

Transition period: Hatta goes through two transition periods as it switches between seasons. From April to May and October to November, the weather is more unpredictable than within seasons.
