Wokyo Noodle Bar offers an incredible Tokyo-inspired culinary journey, and I can’t get enough of it! It has been around since 2012, and it’s known for its authentic take on Asian noodle traditions, especially Sapporo-style ramen. 

The restaurant takes pride in simmering its signature broth for 10-12 hours. Its team even underwent training with a master ramen chef in Hokkaido, Japan, to ensure that every bowl served is packed with authenticity and flavor.

The ambiance is vibrant and cozy, with colorful Japanese decor and an open kitchen that lets you see your meal being prepared. The communal dining experience on long benches is such a cool touch, making it perfect for casual meals or get-togethers with friends. 

One of the things I love about Wokyo is the chance to customize my meal. You can choose from various noodles and toppings, which makes every visit feel like a new adventure. My absolute favorite is the Laksa Noodle Soup.

Certo offers a menu filled with traditional Italian dishes that are flavorful and made with the freshest ingredients. The ambiance at Certo is inviting, with its contemporary design and rustic Italian elements. 

The chilled tomato and basil soup at Certo is an absolute must-try. Priced at AED 45, it’s so refreshing and delicious that I found myself wanting more!

One of the things that stood out to me the most was the attentive service. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to recommend dishes or share insights about the menu. 

Whether you’re looking for a casual dining experience or a special occasion, the comfortable seating arrangements make it the perfect spot. Also, watch for their special events and discounts during festive seasons.

3. Elia Bistro

Elia Bistro is a gem of a Mediterranean restaurant. The name “Elia,” which translates to “Olive” in Greek, perfectly captures the essence of the rich and diverse flavors of Greece, Italy, and France that the restaurant celebrates. 

I love its diverse menu, which features authentic dishes, including must-try items like Moussaka and black Angus rib eye. Executive Chef Rory Duncan, who brings a wealth of experience from his time at La Petite Maison, expertly crafts these dishes.

The ambiance at Elia is a perfect blend of modern and cozy, making it ideal for intimate meals and casual gatherings. You can choose from indoor or outdoor seating surrounded by earthy color schemes.

During my visit, I couldn’t resist trying the Lentil Soup, and it exceeded my expectations with its perfect seasoning and comforting flavor. Elia also stands out for occasionally hosting special events and offering discounts on select days.

4. Bentoya Jafza One

Bentoya Jafza One is an amazing spot that serves delicious and authentic Japanese food. I love how they stay true to traditional Japanese flavors and techniques. Because of its quality and authenticity, it’s become a favorite among locals and expats.

The menu is diverse, but let me tell you, their ramen and sushi are out of this world. It’s like a little slice of Japan right here in Dubai! 

The ambiance is inviting and relaxed, perfect for a chill meal with friends. The subtle Japanese decor adds a calming vibe to the place, and the open kitchen concept is a nice touch. You can watch the chefs work their magic, and it’s pretty impressive.

I can’t get enough of their rich and flavorful ramen. The broth is so savory that they don’t skimp on the toppings. Oh, and they also host cool events like sushi-making classes and themed nights with discounts on selected dishes.

5. YUi

Established in 2018, Yui Ramen is the first dedicated ramen house in the vibrant Dubai Design District. The name “Yui” translates to “only one” and symbolizes connectivity, reflecting the restaurant’s mission to offer authentic Japanese flavors. 

Yui prides itself on using high-quality ingredients, including 100% Japanese noodle flour and antibiotic-free eggs. Its broth is simmered for 10 to 18 hours to achieve rich umami flavors. 

The ambiance at Yui is cozy and minimalist, designed to create a relaxed atmosphere where diners can fully enjoy their meals without distractions. The interiors feature raw materials like light gauge studs and plywood, enhancing the authenticity of the experience. 

Amenities include indoor and outdoor seating, wheelchair accessibility, and valet parking. When it comes to the menu, I highly recommend the Shoyu Ramen, which boasts a rich broth and perfectly cooked noodles topped with fresh ingredients. 

6. Pai Thai

Pai Thai’s authentic Thai cuisine and picturesque setting make it a must-visit. One unique aspect of Pai Thai is the scenic boat ride that guests can take to arrive at the restaurant, adding to the overall charm of the experience.

What I loved the most was the relaxed vibe, which is great for intimate conversations or family gatherings while indulging in exquisite food. Chef Amara Mahayothee’s expertise in Asian cooking shines through in every dish. 

The ambiance is enchanting, with lush greenery and serene waterways. The decor reflects traditional Thai aesthetics, providing a cozy yet elegant dining experience.

7. PAUL Bakery & Restaurant

PAUL Bakery & Restaurant has been bringing the taste of France to Dubai for over twenty years. I love that they offer a wide array of options on their menu, from breakfast items to hearty lunches and dinners, including soups, salads, and delectable pastries. 

The ambiance at PAUL is charming and reminiscent of a classic French café, with elegant decor that invites you to relax and enjoy your meal. They offer indoor seating that is both kid-friendly and wheelchair accessible, which is a big plus. 

One of my favorite dishes at PAUL is their French Onion Soup. They also often have special events and promotions—like complimentary birthday cakes for celebrations—which makes dining here feel even more special. 

8. Hanoi Naturally JLT Dubai

Hanoi Naturally is one of my favorite spots for Vietnamese cuisine. It’s a cozy restaurant that brings the vibrant flavors and fresh ingredients of Hanoi’s street food culture to Dubai. 

The menu is packed with traditional dishes like pho, banh mi, and various rice and noodle options, all crafted carefully to maintain authenticity. What I love about this place is the warm and inviting ambiance, perfect for a casual meal.

I highly recommend trying their Pho Bo (beef pho). And if you get the chance, don’t miss their “Pho Nights,” where you can enjoy discounts on their signature soups while soaking in a lively atmosphere filled with music and community spirit. 

9. Ibn Hamido Restaurant

Ibn Hamido Restaurant is known for its vibrant Arabic-inspired seafood cuisine. It offers a variety of dishes, including jumbo prawns, grilled fish, and lobster. The seafood soups are especially delicious and showcase the freshness and flavors of the ocean.

Ibn Hamido has become one of Dubai’s top seafood spots, and it’s not hard to see why. The average cost for two is around AED 250, which is quite reasonable considering the luxurious dining experience they provide. 

The ambiance is perfect for family gatherings or casual outings with friends, and the themed decor adds to the overall experience. One of the things I love most about Ibn Hamido is the stunning views of Palm Jumeirah, which you can enjoy while dining.

If you ever visit, try their mixed seafood soup – a delightful blend of flavors that perfectly captures the essence of their menu. 

10. Kinoya

Kinoya serves fantastic Japanese cuisine with a focus on Izakaya and Ramen. Izakaya is all about laid-back dining, where you can enjoy small dishes and drinks with friends, and Kinoya really captures that vibe.

The menu is carefully curated to offer an authentic taste of Japan, with dishes like Donabe, Onsen Tamago, and Dashi crafted with top-notch ingredients. The cozy and stylish ambiance makes it great for casual dining and special occasions. 

If you’re into watching chefs work their magic, you can even choose to sit at the counter and see your meal being prepared. They’ve got amenities like air conditioning, valet parking, and a great selection of sake.
